FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

It's been a warm, sun-filled afternoon across Southwest Florida, and we'll keep adding to the warmth in the days ahead.

After spending the afternoon in the low to mid 80s, temperatures will drop into the mid 70s by sunset and then eventually settle into the mid 60s by early Thursday morning.

We may see some thin layers of fog forming during the pre-dawn hours Thursday, but visibility shouldn't be too bad as we get our Thursday started.

We're in store for another mostly sunny and warm day tomorrow with daytime temperatures getting a bit of a boost, topping out in the mid to upper 80s.

The cooler spots will be along the coast, and the warmest locations will be deeper inland where temperatures reach 87-89 degrees.

Rain chances will stay pretty low again Thursday afternoon, but it's possible to see an isolated shower over the interior close to Lake Okeechobee.

From Friday into the upcoming weekend, the warm weather rolls along; daytime highs will be approaching 90 degrees during the afternoon, and humidity levels will also be on the rise.

We won't the next decent chance of rain until the middle of next week when the next front approaches Southwest Florida.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...
