To our knowledge this hasn't been done before. We've never participated in a call like this so we don't know what to expect.

FOR THE FIRST TIME.TODAY ENVIRONMENTALISTS HAD TO PLEAD THEIR CASE OVER A CONFERENCE CALL.

THIS IS THE LATEST MEETING IN A SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING.

PROTESTORS WANT TO BLOCK THE DAN A HUGHES COMPANY FROM SEARCHING FOR OIL NEAR GOLDEN GATE ESTATES HOMES.

JENNIFER

17:42:10

Today is an important step.

THEY PUSHED THE JUDGE TO CONSIDER WHAT THE D-E-P SAYS HAPPENED HERE

THE STATE TELLS NBC2 IT CAUGHT THE DAN A HUGHES DOING WHAT MANY ACTIVISTS CONSIDER HYDRAULIC FRACKING.

MATTHEW SCHWARTZ

06:56-:59

tHIS CONSENT ORDER HOWEVER DOES RELATE TO THE COMPANY SO IT'S RELEVANT

BUTT TO

07:06-:10

The company's behavior at any well site is relevant to a permit.

Joe Mule', Preserve our Paradise

17:46:47-:52

That was clearly hidden from us. That was never given to us during discovery. They never provided that information.

IN DAN A HUGHES' RESPONSE, THE COMPANY DISAGREED, CALLING THE CONSENT ORDER IRRELEVANT.

AND IT DENUIED ANY HYRDAULIC FRACTURING.

THE JUDGE RULED IN HUGHES' FAVOR.

Karen Dwyer, Stone Crab Alliance

17:33:50-:56

Any sort of violation like that would be catastrophic right near their shallow wells.

THIS AFTERNOON THE JUDGE DID ACCEPT THE BIG CYPRESS SWAMP ADVISORY COMMITTEE'S RECOMMEDATION.

THAT GROUP RECOMMENDED THE JUDGE SHOULD DENY THE HUGHES' PERMIT.

THE PROJECT REMAINS ON HOLD.

BUT THIS VIDEO SHOWS THE SITE NEAR THOSE HOMES HAS BEEN CLEARED.

Karen Dwyer, Stone Crab Alliance

17:38:34

They've already got in their mind that they're going to drill.

THIS JUDGE'S RULING IS ALSO ONLY A RECOMMENDATION.

AND THE DEP ALREADY CAME OUT AGAINST THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE'S VOTE.

Jennifer Hecker, Conservancy of SWFL

17:42:40-:44

We are very troubled with the way the agency has handled this all the way up to this point.

PRESERVE OUR PARADISE SAYS ITS ALREADY PLANNING FOR THIS DRAWN-OUT DEBATE TO DRAG ON.

Joe Mule', Preserve our Paradise

17:49:23-:25

We will continue to fight. The end is not near.
