Today's Weather Story

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

HOT, HUMID WEATHER IN PLACE

Our Monday morning is starting out warm and muggy. The heat and humidity will stick with us through the day. Afternoon highs topped out near 90 the last 2 days and will be back near 90 today. We're forecasting a high of 91 degrees with some warmer spots in inland areas. Highs near the beaches will be in the mid 80s today. Expect to see partly cloudy skies today. Our winds from the southeast will turn more south-westerly around 10-15 mph with gusts near 20 mph. We'll keep rain chances low today and tomorrow with just the stray chance for a downpour deep inland in the afternoons on the sea breeze. With so much humidity in place, temperatures will not be able to cool much during the over night hours and the lows for the next few mornings will be in the lower 70s.

By mid week, we start bringing in a slight chance for a shower or storm, but the better chances for rain will wait until Thursday and continue through Saturday. This rain chance comes as a cold front approaches from the northwest. There will only be a slight cool down, though. For the end of the week, highs will be in the upper 80s and lows will be in the mid 60s. Return to index of stories...
