FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

"Increasing rain prospects""

Once the clouds thinned out, it turned out to be a beautiful end to our Mother's Day weekend. It was also a hot one, as temperatures topped out in the lower to middle 90s area wide. We're looking at a couple of more days in the 90s, before some rain moves in and as a result cools temperatures off a bit.

Through the late afternoon hours expect partly sunny skies along with a bit of a breeze out of the east. As winds pick up between 10-15mph, this will keep the sea breeze pinned very close to the coastline. As a result, daytime temperatures have climbed into the lower half of the 90s. Rain chances will stay very minimal through rest of the day, with a 20% chance at best along our beaches and coastal areas.

This evening, one or two showers may linger along the coast with the vast majority of the area staying dry through the night time hours. Expect a few passing clouds from time to time with temperatures settling into the lower 70s by morning.

With plenty of heat and humidity in place for Tuesday, a couple of showers and storms may bubble up during the heat of the day. A batch of tropical moisture will move in from the east and southeast bringing scattered scattered showers and storms back to the area by Wednesday and Thursday. A few downpours will linger through Friday, before sunnier and less humid weather takes over by the weekend. Return to index of stories...

CLINTON SAYS HER MOTHER STRESSED SOCIAL JUSTICE AS SHE RAISED THE FUTURE FIRST LADY AND SECRETARY OF STATE.

SHE DESCRIBES HER MOTHER'S HARDSCRABBLE CHILDHOOD -- SENT TO LIVE WITH "SEVERE" GRANDPARENTS WHO LOCKED HER IN HER ROOM FOR A YEAR AS PUNISHMENT FOR TRICK-OR-TREATING.

LEAVING AT 14. STRIKING OUT ON HER OWN..

CLINTON ASKED HER -- HOW SHE SURVIVED.

"I'll never forget how she replied, 'At critical points in my life somebody showed me kindness,' she said."

BY CONTRAST-- CLINTON SAYS HER MOTHER ALWAYS GAVE HER UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND SUPPORT-- INCLUDING AFTER SHE LOST HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT.

"Having her so close became a source of great comfort to me, especially in the difficult period after the end of the 2008 campaign. I'd come home from a long day at the Senate or the State Department, slide in next to her at the small table in our breakfast nook, and let everything just pour out."

AND WHEN HER MOTHER DIED IN 2011, CLINTON SAID SHE LONGED FOR ONE MORE CONVERSATION, ONE MORE HUG.

BUT SHE ALSO SAYS SHE FELT NEWLY-MOVED TO TAKE THE ADVICE SHE'S SURE HER MOTHER WOULD GIVE.

"Never rest on your laurels. Never quit. Never stop working to make the world a better place. That's our unfinished business."

DR. NANCY WITHAM/PEDIATRICIAN

"Southwest doesn't charge for your first 2 checked bags, Jet Blue doesn't charge for your first checked bag and on some routes depending on where you're traveling, Air Canada doesn't charge for your first checked bag"

SENIOR EDITOR MANDY WALKER SAYS USING AN AIRLINE'S CREDIT CARD CAN HELP, TOO.

"If you're searching for airfares for a family of four, you don't want to search for four people, you want to start your search for just a single seat"
