FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

"Increasing rain prospects""

Once the clouds thinned out, it turned out to be a beautiful end to our Mother's Day weekend. It was also a hot one, as temperatures topped out in the lower to middle 90s area wide. We're looking at a couple of more days in the 90s, before some rain moves in and as a result cools temperatures off a bit.

Through the late afternoon hours expect partly sunny skies along with a bit of a breeze out of the east. As winds pick up between 10-15mph, this will keep the sea breeze pinned very close to the coastline. As a result, daytime temperatures have climbed into the lower half of the 90s. Rain chances will stay very minimal through rest of the day, with a 20% chance at best along our beaches and coastal areas.

This evening, one or two showers may linger along the coast with the vast majority of the area staying dry through the night time hours. Expect a few passing clouds from time to time with temperatures settling into the lower 70s by morning.

With plenty of heat and humidity in place for Tuesday, a couple of showers and storms may bubble up during the heat of the day. A batch of tropical moisture will move in from the east and southeast bringing scattered scattered showers and storms back to the area by Wednesday and Thursday. A few downpours will linger through Friday, before sunnier and less humid weather takes over by the weekend.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...
