FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.GREAT WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND

After a week of humid weather and scattered storms, cooler and drier air filtered into Southwest Florida Friday, with highs only climbing into the low 80s. Skies will completely clear this evening, with temps quickly falling into the low 70s.

It will be one of the cooler overnights in a long time, with lows falling into the upper 50s in the urban corridor. Many locations east of I-75 will tumble into the low to mid 50s.

The great weather from Friday continues into the weekend. Expect barely a cloud in the sky through the daytime hours, with warmer highs in the low to mid 80s. It will again be breezy, with northerly winds between 10-20 mph.

Sun-filled weather marches on into Sunday. We will again see wall-to-wall sun all day long with temps in the mid to upper 80s.

Low humidity values will continue into next week. Plenty of sun will again bathe the area on Monday, with temps back in the upper 80s.

A few clouds will likely develop Tuesday & Wednesday, with highs holding in the mid to upper 80s.

By late week, more moisture and more humidity begin to work back into the area. This will result in partly cloudy skies to close next week, with highs pushing into the upper 80s and low 90s.

No major storm system is expected to impact the area over the next 7 days. Return to index of stories...

condition was caused by her "elephant skin."

she says it had been going on for the last nine years.

nbc2 was there last month as investigators took both of her dogs for medical treatment.

The 7 year old chihuahua was eventually returned.

Speronis also told investigators she believed steroids and antibiotics kill good

bacteria.

According to the DAS report -- investigators have been trying to check on the welfare of the dogs since Dec 2013, but were never allowed access.

Speronis was arrested for animal cruelty wednesday.

During her first appearance she was also denied bond.

"I didn't not know that she was arrested and in jail" Smolik

Neighbors like Joe Smolik were also shocked to learn about Speronis's

lengthy criminal past.

In total four arrests- including a felony larceny charge.

she was on probation.

This new charge resulted in Speronis violating her probation and being
