FORECAST-WXWALL

BEAUTIFUL WEATHER CONTINUES TO FINISH THE WEEKEND.

More beautiful weather will continue dominating our weekend forecast across Southwest Florida.

Clear skies and low humidity levels are expected overnight tonight with temperatures dropping into the low 60s for areas near the Gulf coast and mid to upper 50s for communities deeper inland.

For Sunday, temperatures look to be a few degrees warmer than Saturday afternoon, topping out closer to the upper 80s. For mid to late May, however, humidity values will remain fairly low.

The weather pattern setting up across the region looks overall dry. A sizable ridge of high pressure will be centered in the Gulf of Mexico through the weekend and into the upcoming work week. That will have major impacts on our forecast for the next several days.

The presence of this high in the Gulf will translate into a continued dry stretch of weather for the west coast of Florida. We'll continue to see mainly dry conditions as we complete the weekend, and expect pleasant weather into the upcoming work week as well.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...
