FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

"More sun and warmth"

We are coming off of a weekend which featured spectacular weather with cool mornings and warm afternoons. As we progress through the week, temperatures will get a bit of a boost along with higher humidity values.

Plenty of sunshine will fill our skies through the late afternoon hours, with just a few fair weather clouds that have moved in from the east. Daytime temperatures have climbed into the upper 80s area wide with readings near 90° inland, while the coast has stayed slightly cooler. Winds will remain breezy through the late day hours with gusts near 20-25 mph.

As we head into the evening hours, mainly clear skies will persist and temperatures will settle into the upper 70s just after sunset. Quiet weather will return once again tonight with temperatures slowly falling into the middle 60s by morning as the winds subside.

As high pressure remains the dominant feature in our forecast, not much will change as we head into Tuesday and beyond. Expect mostly skies tomorrow afternoon with a breeze out of the east. Daytime highs will top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with lows in the middle to upper 60s. Winds will become more southeasterly by mid week and as a result, our humidity values will begin to creep back up. A mainly dry pattern will hold through the end of the work week with afternoon highs reaching the lower 90s.

Overall, the upcoming weekend looks to be in good shape. We'll see just a few more clouds and a couple of spotty showers by Sunday. Return to index of stories...
