DISGUSTED AND FURIOUS.

A CAPE CORAL MOTHER WANTS ANSWERS AFTER STUDENTS TAKE A PICTURE OF HER SON, GENITALS-EXPOSED AND POSTED IT ONLINE.

IT HAPPENED WHILE THE BOY WAS GOING TO THE BATHROOM AT SCHOOL - A PLACE WHERE HE THOUGHT HE WAS SAFE.

THE STUDENTS HAVE BEEN PUNISHED AT SCHOOL, BUT THE TEEN'S PARENTS WANT CHARGES FILED.

NBC-2'S ALEX DE ARMAS DISCOVERED WHAT IT WILL TAKE FOR THAT TO HAPPEN.

SHE WAS THE ONLY REPORTER TO SPEAK WITH THE VICTIM.

AN ISLAND COAST HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IS EXPOSED ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

22:02-22:17 " I was taken a back because why is she sharing with me this picture and then I realized, that's my son. "

JILL SHAPIRO SAYS HER 16 YEAR OLD SON WAS USING THE BATHROOM AT SCHOOL WHEN ANOTHER STUDENT TOOK VIDEO OF HIM OVER THE STALL.

IT SHOWS HIS GENITALS.

Jill Shapiro, boys mom

23:21-23:32 "Nauseated and shaken and just speechless. "

Shapiro SAYS THE STUDENT THEN SHARED IT ON AN APP CALLED SNAP CHAT-- WHERE THE VIDEO DISAPPEARS ONCE SOMEONE SEES IS.

SHE SAYS A SECOND STUDENT TOOK A STILL IMAGE FROM THE VIDEO AND POSTED IT ON TWITTER-- THEN she CLAIMS A THIRD STUDENT RE-POSTED IT.

Boy

33:51-33:56 "I wanted to assume no one would do that to me that I was safe. "

Tonight THE victim is only talking to NBC2.

BOY

34:14-34:33 "what happens to the next kid.

".What happens if they don't have a supporting family. What happens if they go to an empty house and they aren't told by his parents, they are told by 100 kids and they are just bullied about it. "

Jill Shapiro, boys mom

24:44-24:59 "It was very troubling to hear that someone can post a picture of your sons genitals on social media, and under aged child, and there's no crime. "

NBC2 REACHED OUT TO THE LEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT--

THEY TELL US THIS ISSUE WAS ADDRESSED BUT CANT TELL US WHAT DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS WERE TAKEN.

NBC2 TOOK A CLOSE LOOK AT THE DISTRICTS POLICY -- it states,

THERE HAS TO BE MORE THAN ONE INCIDENT FOR THE TERM BULLING TO BE APPLIED.

27:23-27:41 ".it is a serious crime and it's something to take very serious."

the boy's mother wants THE BOY WHO STARTED THIS IS CHARGED WITH VOYEURISM.

25:30-25:44 "If the first crime is so heinous, how can there not be a crime for that? How many times do they have to do this to how many kids before it's worth of punishing them. " Return to index of stories...

THE MOST RECENT SHOOTING IN THE FT MYERS NEIGHBORHOOD OF DUNBAR HAS NEIGHBORS WONDERING IF THEY'RE NEXT?

SOT - James Bing - Neighbor

19:57 evidently the people who are holding us hostage feel that they can get away with it.20:03

SHERIFF SCOTT SAYS THOSE GETTING AWAY WITH IT, AT LEAST FOR NOW, ARE DOING IT FOR ONE REASON.

11:01 these are people with little to no regard for human life. These are individuals where the drug trade is at the root of everything they are doing. 11:08

WITH SO MANY RECENT SHOOTINGS STILL UNSOLVED WE ASKED THE SHERIFF IF THIS TREND IS WORTH CHANGING NORMAL PROTOCOLS --

SPECIFICALLY RAMPING UP CRACKDOWN EFFORTS WITH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

SOT - 14:47 do you think you need to reach out above and beyond what you already do and if they reach out to you would you respond to them? we are already doing that again so I don't think it's a new phenomenon, what we're doing is we're working together to the best of our ability. 14:59

NEIGHBORS TELL ME OFF CAMERA, THE RELUCTANCE TO COME FORWARD FALLS UNDER WHAT THEY CALL "FAMILY LOYALTY." IF WORD GETS OUT THEY TALKED, THEY SAY THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY IS AT RISK.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

"More sun and warmth"

We are coming off of a weekend which featured spectacular weather with cool mornings and warm afternoons. As we progress through the week, temperatures will get a bit of a boost along with higher humidity values.

Plenty of sunshine will fill our skies through the late afternoon hours, with just a few fair weather clouds that have moved in from the east. Daytime temperatures have climbed into the upper 80s area wide with readings near 90° inland, while the coast has stayed slightly cooler. Winds will remain breezy through the late day hours with gusts near 20-25 mph.

As we head into the evening hours, mainly clear skies will persist and temperatures will settle into the upper 70s just after sunset. Quiet weather will return once again tonight with temperatures slowly falling into the middle 60s by morning as the winds subside.

As high pressure remains the dominant feature in our forecast, not much will change as we head into Tuesday and beyond. Expect mostly skies tomorrow afternoon with a breeze out of the east. Daytime highs will top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with lows in the middle to upper 60s. Winds will become more southeasterly by mid week and as a result, our humidity values will begin to creep back up. A mainly dry pattern will hold through the end of the work week with afternoon highs reaching the lower 90s.

Overall, the upcoming weekend looks to be in good shape. We'll see just a few more clouds and a couple of spotty showers by Sunday

THEY MOVED OUT WEST IN SEARCH OF A LIQUID MEDICAL MARIJUANA.

exactly how it works in medical use isn't quite clear yet.

DOCTOR ALAN SHACKELFORD WAS ONE OF TWO DOCTORS WHO SIGNED OFF ON CHASE TO USE THE STRAIN - KNOWN AS CHARLOTTE'S WEB.

IT'S LOW IN T-H-C; WHICH IS WHAT MAKES SMOKERS HIGH; AND HIGH IN C-B-D; WHICH IS THOUGHT TO CONTROL SEIZURES.

we've used the narcotics, we've used all the Benzodiazepines, nothing works. Now let's try this.

CHASE'S SEIZURES DROPPED BY MORE THAN HALF SINCE HIS FIRST DOSE IN NOVEMBER.

NATS - Ready kiddo? Put your head back, mommy's going to give you your oil ok?

we never had a whole day without a siezure, let alone 10 days.

THE SAME FORM OF MARIJUANA IS ON THE VERGE OF BEING LEGALIZED IN FLORIDA.

NATS - she's holding him up; trying to let him walk, he does pretty well now.

AND WHILE CHRISTINA AND JEFF DON'T PLAN TO MOVE BACK;

THEY ARE THANKFUL OTHER FAMILIES WON'T BE FORCED TO MOVE AWAY.
