5:12 FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

Full Forecast

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

"Mainly dry weather"

It was another warm and dry day across Southwest Florida, with that persistent easterly breeze. We'll be tracking some subtle changes over the next several days, which includes an uptick in humidity and a very slight chance for a couple of stray showers.

Our Wednesday will start off mild with temperatures in the middle 60s. Sunny skies will prevail through the morning hours, before a few more clouds mix in during the day. Temperatures will quickly climb into the middle 80s by the noon hour, with a nice easterly breeze around 10-15mph. Under mostly sunny skies, daytime highs will eventually peak near 90°. Inland spots will more than likely climb into the lower half of the 90s, while beaches stay slightly cooler.

Clear skies and quiet conditions will remain in the forecast for tonight. Overnight lows will also settle into the middle 60s.

An expansive area of high pressure will continue to have a firm grip on our weather through the end of the week. This means our pattern will stay mostly to partly sunny with very little to no rain. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the in lower 90s area wide and the heat will only continue to build in across the region.

The upcoming Memorial Day weekend looks to be quite hot with temperatures making a run for the middle 90s, especially across our inland communities. We'll also introduce a couple of stray afternoon showers both Sunday and Monday. Return to index of stories...

5:42 FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

Weather Trends
