FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

SCATTERED SHOWERS THIS EVENING

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms have been moving across Southwest Florida on Sunday. The activity that developed on the eastern side of the peninsula has been steadily moving westward throughout the afternoon, bringing rain opportunites to the west coast this evening.

With the chance for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the forecast through this evening, it would appear the coastal locations bear the greatest chance for seeing some activity through tonight.

Temperatures throughout the overnight timeframe are expected to slip into the low 70s.

Once again on Monday it appears the southern tip of Florida will be dominated by a general flow of easterly winds, keeping the chance for scattered shower and storm activity in play. The mid to late afternoon hours will stand the greatest chance for seeing showers or storms across Southwest Florida.

The trend for the upcoming work week will be a bit unsettled. Temperatures look to top out in the upper 80s for highs rather consistently through the work week. We should have an ample supply of moisture available in the atmosphere, especially early in the week to leave in the chance for showers and storms each of the next seven days, especially in the afternoon and early evening time periods.
