5:12 FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

Full Forecast

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

A MAINLY DRY DAY

Wednesday was a mainly dry day in Southwest Florida and those mainly dry conditions will be in place again for today. We start the morning with temperatures in the low to mid 70s and will warm to near 90 degrees this afternoon. Skies are mainly clear this morning and we'll get to enjoy a decent amount of sunshine with a few fair weather clouds through much of the day today. Into the late afternoon and evening there will be just a few isolated downpours popping up. This is a bit of a break from the typical rainy season pattern. We'll have just a bit more moisture in place tomorrow, but rain coverage will still be very low with only isolated downpours.

Into the weekend through the middle of next week, the more typical rainy season scattered afternoon storm pattern will return. There is the possibility of more tropical moisture coming into Southwest Florida from the south, leading to wetter weather for the end of next week. That's what we will be tracking over the next few days and we will fine tune the forecast as we go. Return to index of stories...

Today's Weather Story
