FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

The radar is lighting up again this Tuesday afternoon, but the threat for severe weather will remain low for the balance of the day. The bigger, stronger storms will mostly affect our inland areas, especially across Glades and Hendry County.

A few isolated pockets of rain my try to work closer to the coast this evening, but the bulk of the rain will stay away from the beaches.

Like yesterday, we'll likely see an earlier end to the rain since the rain started forming earlier in the day. We'll be left with a mostly to partly cloudy sky through the overnight period with temperatures settling into the mid 70s.

The weather pattern changes a little over the next couple days as our wind flow comes in from the Gulf of Mexico. This onshore flow will open the door for some isolated morning rain along the coast, but the highest rain chances will quickly shift inland through the afternoon and evening time frame.

Temperature may be a touch lower over the next couple afternoons thanks to the winds off the Gulf, but it'll still be plenty warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s, and some of our inland sites could still max out in the low 90s.

Thursday will be the day we see the greatest coverage of scattered showers and storms as a disturbance swings in from the Gulf, providing the atmosphere with a little more energy to work with.

Expect Thursday to be a little cloudier, too, which will help keep our afternoon temperatures below 90 degrees.

From Friday into the upcoming weekend, we'll get back to seeing more sun and heat along with our daily dose of mainly afternoon showers and storms. Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 90s and cool off into the mid 70s overnight.

In the tropics, there are no areas of concern across the Atlantic Basin, and no tropical development is expected through the next five days. Return to index of stories...

HIS ICONIC POP ART MASTERPIECES HAVE BEEN FEATURED INSIDE THE GUGGENHEIM AND THE MOMA --

BUT IT'S INSIDE THIS LEE COUNTY COURTROOM WHERE A FIGHT OVER ARTIST ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG'S VAST ESTATE IS NOW UNDERWAY.

It becomes the responsibility of the people in charge to effectively denounce a work if it's not representative of the work that was done, the way Mr. Rauschenberg made it

WHEN RAUSCHENBERG PASSED AWAY IN 2008.THE 82-YEAR-OLD ARTIST WAS LIVING ON CAPTIVA.

HE MADE THREE CLOSE FRIENDS THE TRUSTEES OF HIS ESTATE - THEN VALUED AT AROUND $600 MILLION.

THOSE TRUSTEES ARE ASKING A JUDGE FOR A PAY OUT - TO THE TUNE OF 60 MILLION DOLLARS - FOR HELPING TO GROW AND MANAGE THE ESTATE.

THAT INCLUDES EVERYTHING FROM AUTHENTICATING WORKS TO RESTORING THEM.

Things wear away. Things get eaten. Things potentially rust. Things potentially break. These are complex art works

THE FOUNDATION SAYS THE TRUSTEES SHOULD GET PAID SOMETHING - BUT AGREEING ON A DOLLAR AMOUNT FROM THE ARTIST'S ESTATE MIGHT BE EASIER SAID THAN DRAWN.

We think the value of trust services is about $300,000. They think it's $60 million. I'll let you draw the conclusions on that.

THE FOUNDATION'S CONCERN - MAKING SURE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE GOES TO HELPING THE COMMUNITY THE LATE ARTIST CALLED HOME SINCE 1970.

To see this money go away is just a tragedy if it happens
