Today's Weather Story

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

COASTAL AM SHOWERS; PM STORMS MAINLY INLAND

The wind direction plays a major part in our weather for today and the next few days. It won't be our typical rainy season pattern, but showers and storms will still be in the forecast. Winds will be coming onshore through the day. That leaves the door open for the possibility of showers near the coastline each of the next few mornings. Then, the scattered thunderstorm activity for the afternoon and evening will be aimed toward the inland areas.

It will be humid with highs near 90 today. Lows tonight will be in the lower 70s.

There is a little disturbance that will give more us more clouds along with an increase in the shower and storm activity on Thursday. With the extra cloud cover, we'll likely top out in the upper 80s.

By this weekend, we'll be back to a more typical sunny start to the day followed by scattered afternoon downpours on the sea breeze.

There are no tropical concerns at this time and no development expected in the next 5 days. Return to index of stories...
