FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

STORM CHANCES FOR FRIDAY

After morning rain and storms across the area, Thursday turned into a warm and humid day, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Scattered storms will be possible this evening as temps fall into the 70s. A scattered storms also cannot be ruled out for the overnight, with lows in the low 70s.

Storm chances continue into Friday. After possibly some morning activity, expect partly cloudy skies for much of the day. Scattered storms will likely develop along and east of I-75 and push inland during the afternoon. Highs on Friday will be in the low 90s.

A more typical rainy season pattern returns for the weekend. We'll see partly cloudy skies in the morning, with PM showers and storms likely developing. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 90s.

The wet weather pattern still looks to continue into next week, with daily chances for PM showers and storms. Highs for most of next week will be in the low 90s.

TROPICAL UPDATE

All is quiet still across the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea and the open waters of the Atlantic. In fact, dry air over the Gulf has really hindered any possible development.

No major activity is expected in the Atlantic basin over the next 5 days. Return to index of stories...

CITY LEADERS DECIDED TO RE-OPEN THE 50 PARKING SPOTS THAT HAD BEEN RESERVED FOR VALET SERVICE --- BACK TO THE PUBLIC.
