Full Forecast

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

Hot & Stormy To End The Week

Managed to tie the record high temperature on Thursday at 97°. Needless to say, it was hot out there.

Good news for Friday is temperatures shouldn't be quite as hot as Thursday but will still be toasty. Latest models suggest many of us staying in the low 90s this afternoon with upper 80s along the coastline. Extra moisture in the atmosphere will help fuel high humidity levels again Friday meaning it will be another very muggy day across the region.

Shower and storm chances return again Friday afternoon. Some will be on the stronger side with gusty winds, heavy downpours and deadly lightning. A few storms could also linger into the overnight into the pre-dawn hours of Saturday.

Saturday & Sunday will be very similar. Highs both days look to top out in the low 90s and it will be humid. Scattered storms will be predominately in the afternoon with some carrying into the overnight. Return to index of stories...

Today's Weather Story
