FIRST WEATHER-HTC

It might seem a bit unusual for the fourth, but our weather will end up staying relatively dry as we go through our Independence Day across Southwest Florida.

An onshore wind will bring in a few morning showers along the coast, but the coverage will stay fairly spotty.

As we go through the afternoon and evening, the highest rain chances will exist deeper inland where a few storms may form over Hendry, Glades, and interior sections of Collier County.

Aside from some isolated rain today, we're on track to see plenty of sunshine along with very warm temperatures as daytime highs reaching the low to mid 90s.

If you're planning to go out tonight for some 4th of July festivities, plan on a warm and humid evening with temperatures in the low to mid 80s along with a partly cloudy sky.

For our Saturday and Sunday, we'll notice a slight uptick in rain chances, so expect to see more in the way of showers and storms during the afternoon with the highest concentration of rain developing across our inland areas.

Overall, rain chances for Saturday and Sunday afternoon will be around 40%.

Otherwise, expect tons of sun and plenty of heat with afternoon temperatures peaking in the low to mid 90s each day.

For the upcoming week, the rainy season pattern rolls along with afternoon storms developing each day. Before the storms arrive, though, expect mostly sunny and hot conditions with highs in the low to mid 90s. Return to index of stories...

HE IS THE FATHER ACCUSED OF MURDER. AFTER LEAVING HIS TODDLER SON IN A HOT CAR FOR SEVEN HOURS.

VICTOR BLACKWELL HAS THE NEW DETAILS. Return to index of stories...

HOT CAR DEATH DETAILS-PKG

WHAT WAS JUSTIN ROSS HARRIS ALLEGEDLY DOING. WHILE HIS 22-MONTH OLD SON, COOPER SUFFERED IN THE BACK OF THIS SCORCHING S-U-V.

He was having up to 6 different conversations with women. The most common term would be sexting.

STUNNING CLAIMS OF RAUNCHY TEXT MESSAGES, SUSPICIOUS INTERNET SEARCHES. AND A PLAN TO KILL HIS SON.

Evidence is showing us right now that he's got this whole 2nd life he is living with alternate personalities and alternate personas.

JUSTIN ROSS HARRIS SAT, SHACKLED AND SULLEN AS DETECTIVE PHIL STODDARD WITH COBB COUNTY POLICE. DETAILED X-RATED MESSAGES ALLEGEDLY EXCHANGED THE DAY COOPER DIED. INCLUDING WITH A THEN 16-YEAR-OLD GIRL.

Were photos being sent while the child was in the car? she sent a picture of her breasts and he sent pictures of his exposed erect penis to her.

NO VISIBLE REACTION FROM THE 33-YEAR OLD'S WIFE, LEANNA HARRIS, WHO SAT WITH HER FAMILY AND SUPPORTERS IN THE PACKED COURTROOM.

He was a loving father. He loved his son very much. We went on family vacations together, he was a good dad.

BUT JUST 5 DAYS BEFORE COOPER'S DEATH DETECTIVE STODDARD SAYS INTERNET SEARHCES REVEALED THAT HARRIS WATCHED VIDEOS ONLINE ABOUT THE DANGERS OF BEING TRAPPED IN A HOT CAR AND THAT HARRIS VISITED A WEB FORUM DEVOTED TO THE "CHILD - FREE" LIFESTYLE.

We are getting so far from the events that happened june 18, this has nothing to do with those events. The status of his fantasy and married life have nothing to do with events of June 18, we are just getting so far out of field, this is irrelevant to anything.

Tthis goes to the state of mind the 2 weeks leading up to death of child.

So this occurred within 2 weeks.

Yes.

Overruled.

THE DETECTIVE ALSO TESTIFIED THE COUPLE HAD FINANCIAL PROBLEMS AND TOOK OUT LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES ON COOPER.

They had 2 policies on cooper a $2,000 policy through home depot.

The second one was this one they got in 2013.How much was the policy.

It was a $25,000 policy.

STODDARD LAYING OUT THE STRANGE WAY HE SAW HARRIS REACTING THE DAY COOPER DIED…

He started off trying to work himself up trying to hyperventilate himself. No tears no real emotion except for the huffing. And through the time you're talking with him did you see tears? no.

EVEN MORE BIZARRE. HOW WITNESSES SAY LEANNA HARRIS REACTED AT THE DAYCARE WHEN TOLD THAT COOPER WASN'T EVER DROPPED OFF.

In front of several witnesses she states Ross must have left him in the car.they tried to console her and said there are 1,000 reasons and she said no.

.THEN ANOTHER SHOCKER.

Were there any injuries to the child's face yes. It came from a scratch while the child was alive and not scabbing over there were abrasions to the back of the child's head.

AFTER 3 HOURS OF STUNNING TESTIMONY JUDGE FRANK COX DENIED HARRIS BOND--THE DEFENSE MAINTAINING.

It's not criminal negligence. It's a horrible tragedy and an accident. Return to index of stories...

It's also your chance to bring up past traumas. Whether it's an injury decades ago or surgery years ago- these could play into your diagnosis and treatment. Even a minor incident may have set the stage for your surgical outcome.

RUNS:

2:31 We call it post-traumatic arthritis. If you've had a trauma fifteen years ago, that cartilage takes a little bit longer to present itself as far as the arthritis. Other patients have had a previous surgery where the meniscus was removed and certain things predispose you to having arthritis.

ARTHRITIS IS THE TOP CAUSE OF JOINT REPLACEMENT- IT CAN ALSO BE BROUGHT ON BY REPETITIVE USE. SO YOUR PAST LIFE AS AN ATHLETE, LABORER OR HOBBYIST COULD HAVE LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION. FOR LEE MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEM, I'M AMY OSHIER. Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
