FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

SHOWERS AND STORMS CONTINUE TONIGHT

The weather pattern for the rest of tonight and tomorrow will continue to feature passing showers and thunderstorms. Upper level winds are still out of the west and will push the rain from the Gulf of Mexico, across the beaches, and toward the east coast. Most of the time we can count on rain to generally occur in the late day. This pattern will deliver showers at any time of day or night. It looks like this will last through Friday.

Expect brief downpours, gusty winds and lightning as the storms move through this evening and again tomorrow morning. Temperatures will continue to be in the mid 70's and lower 90's through the end of the week.

The westerly winds shift by the weekend and we will return to 'normal' July weather with quiet mornings and afternoon thunderstorms. The tropics are quiet and no storms are expected to develop for the next 3 to 5 days. Return to index of stories...
