PASSING AM DOWNPOURS

Our Tuesday morning starts with a few isolated showers already moving ashore. We will keep the opportunity for passing downpours to move ashore through the morning and midday time frame. A few storms may linger into the afternoon, most of which will be inland.

Aside from a few passing downpours, expect a mix of sunshine and clouds with temperatures warming into the low to mid 90s. Heat index values will reach to near 100 degees this afternoon, so be sure the take breaks and drink plenty of water if you plan to be outside for any length of time today.

We'll see another uptick in rain chances by Wednesday as more moisture builds in from the north, and with our winds coming in from the Gulf, rain will be possible during the morning hours as well.

We continue with scattered rain and storms in our forecast from Thursday into the weekend, but the weekend activity likely won't affect us until the afternoon and evening.

Highs will stay in the lower 90s and lows in the mid and upper 70s through the next 7 days.

TROPICAL UPDATE

We're tracking a tropical wave in the central Atlantic that's been becoming better organized over the last couple of days.

It's a good possibility that this feature will develop into a tropical depression or perhaps even a tropical storm by the middle of the week. The National Hurricane Center has pegged the wave with a 70% chance of development in the next two days and 80% in the next five.

The track through the end of the week will be west, taking this feature toward the Windward Islands by the weekend.

Most forecast models suggest this storm eventually curve to the north by next week, but it's still too soon to know for sure. We'll continue tracking this tropical wave throughout the week in the NBC 2 First Alert Hurricane Tracker Center. Return to index of stories...

DYSON SAYS HE'S DEALT WITH TENNIS ELBOW FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS.

HE CAME INTO THE STORE TO BUY AN ARM BRACE. AND IS NOW TRYING OUT A SOMEWHAT NEW TECHNOLOGY.

"You're an 8 we're going to get you down to hopefully a zero but realistically probably a 1 or a 2"

THIS DEVICE IS CALLED THE LASER TOUCH ONE.

VERGNETTI SAYS IT RELIEVES PAIN. WITHOUT PAIN MEDS. OR SIDE EFFECTS.

"the laser penetrates the soft tissues brings red blood cells in where the white blood cells have accumulated around the area breaks them up takes the pain away erases the pain"

AFTER AN EIGHT MINUTE TREATMENT. DYSON SAYS HE CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

"now I can press there and it doesn't hurt at all"

ABOUT A YEAR AGO. DAWN MICHEL STARTED USING THE DEVICE TO HELP WITH HER SHOULDER AND NECK PAIN.

"I just use it when I need to, when the pain is so much that I just can't continue with that pain"

SHE USES IT ABOUT ONCE A WEEK.

SHE SAYS IT DOESN'T HURT. AND CAN TAKE HER PAIN AWAY FOR A SHORT WHILE.

THOUGH IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY RELIEF. SHE SAYS IT'S BETTER THAN BEING ON PAIN MEDICATION.

OR ANOTHER OPTION-- SURGERY.

"I've gone to the chiropractor, regular doctors, you know the next step will be surgery I'm not ready there, that scares me."

VERGNETTI SAYS IT'S NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WITH A PACEMAKER.

AND IT SHOULDN'T BE USED NEAR THE CAROTID ARTERY AND MUCOUS MEMBRANE AREAS.

BUT OTHER THAN THAT. HE SAYS IT SHOULD BE SAFE FOR ANYONE.

IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL HEALTH ISSUES. IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO CONTACT YOUR PHYSICIAN FIRST, BEFORE STARTING NEW TREATMENT.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

PASSING DOWNPOURS

Our Tuesday morning starts with a few isolated showers already moving ashore. We will keep the opportunity for passing downpours to move ashore through the morning and midday time frame. We'll even keep the possibility for a few showers and storms to continue to wash ashore through the afternoon and evening.

Aside from a few passing downpours, expect a mix of sunshine and clouds with temperatures warming into the low to mid 90s. Heat index values will reach to near 100 degrees this afternoon, so be sure the take breaks and drink plenty of water if you plan to be outside for any length of time today.

The other concern today is that the onshore breeze gives us a an increased risk of rip currents on our local beaches.

A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT WITH THE CLICK OF A MOUSE.

"people don't think they're entering a contract when they click accept, they don't even often realize they're doing that."

"but how many people actually read what's on the computer screen before they click, i agree?"

"maybe i read through it a little bit."

"it's legal stuff that just goes on and on and on and on."

"honestly, no."

AND IF YOU DON'T READ IT. YOU'LL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S IN IT.

"so it's no longer just the legal disclosures that are in those contracts, but things that actually take away rights that consumers would otherwise have."

PROFESSOR KIM SAYS THAT CAN INCLUDE GIVING UP THE RIGHT TO GO TO COURT OR FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

GIVING UP RIGHTS TO YOUR PERSONAL PICTURES OR INFORMATION.

RIGHTS TO GET A REFUND.

EVEN BLOCKING YOUR RIGHT TO LEAVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE COMPANY.

"you can't complain about it on any social media, i've seen that on several websites."

"you get board about two, three lines into it so just skip it."

AND THAT'S WHY IT IS SUCH A TEMPTATION FOR SOME ONLINE COMPANIES. A WAY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CONSUMER WHO DON'T READ THE FINE PRINT. AND YET ARE BOUND BY IT JUST THE SAME.
