FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

ACKING DRIER AIR AHEAD

It was a fairly quiet Wednesday across Southwest Florida, with scattered showers and storms mainly east of I-75. We'll see the storms diminish inland this evening, with temps falling into the 80s. We'll see quiet conditions overnight, with lows in the upper 70s.

The onshore flow now looks to continue Thursday. However, the likelihood of AM showers is very low. The better chance for rain will be in the PM hours, especially along and east of I-75. Highs on Thursday will be in the low 90s.

Drier air does start entering the area on Friday. This will reduce the chance of PM scattered storms, but not completely end the threat. Highs on Friday will be in the low 90s.

Even more dry air works in for the weekend. Right now, Saturday looks slightly wetter than Sunday but the majority of both weekend days are expected to be dry. The best chance for storms each day will be in the afternoon and early evening hours. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s.

Next week looks fairly quiet as the dry air remains in place. Just a few widely scattered storms are expected each afternoon, with highs in the low to mid 90s.

TROPICAL UPDATE

Tropical Storm Bertha became post-tropical Wednesday morning, ending it's run as the second named storm in the Atlantic basin.

Bertha is east of New England and is moving rapidly to the northeast at 31 mph. It will stay in the open waters of the Atlantic over the next few days.

Elsewhere in the tropics, no major activity is expected over the next 5 days. Return to index of stories...

This is how I get ready for work, right here everyday.

THE HARDEST PART OF NOAH PRETCHEL'S DAY IS GETTING *READY* FOR WORK.

This is it.

WITH THE CARE OF A CHEMIST.

Exactly three grams is what I shoot for.

THIS 20-YEAR OLD GOES GRAY.

Alright now the fun part.

MAKE THAT *SILVER.*

It's going to get very silver in here in a second.

My name is Cindy Pretchel and I am the Silver guy's mom.

A FAMILY COMFORTABLE IN ITS OWN SKIN.

He's never a fit inside other people's box.

I've been doing this now for almost two years.

I think that's a great thing because I don't fit in other people's

boxes either.

EVENTUALLY NOAH WANTS TO BECOME A YOUTH PASTOR.

He's a people person.

IN THE MEANTIME HE'S FOUND ANOTHER WAY TO LEAVE A MARK.

Yeah it's not. it's yeah. it's everywhere.

IT'S MIND OVER MAKE-UP.

Ugh, I hate putting on make-up and then have to drive thirty minutes to work

or wherever i'm going.

Alright I think we're there.

IN NOAH'S LINE OF WORK,

*REACTIONS* PAY THE BILLS.

Best reaction but they don't give any money.

EVERY PERFORMER.

I've had these shoes since middle school.

NEEDS PROPS.

Wore them to prom and then painted them silver.

NOAH'S SHOW BEGINS BEFORE HE EVEN STARTS.

I probably get my best tips from people watching me. 'I watched you

get dressed - here's $5."

He caught her attention for sure.

It's his personality.

He's perfectly still isn't he.

NOAH'S STAGE IS FORT MYERS BEACH.

Times Square.

He's like super still. UNTIL He doesn't move.

HE DOES MOVE.

AFTER THE SCREAMS

Ay!

oh my god

COME THE SMILES.

Oh I want to get a picture.

Most people walk by and can't take their eyes off the silver guy.

Look closely though and you'll see why he's crazy enough to be out

here.

Yeah yeah, he's a little crazy but he's crazy in love I guess.

ALEXA WOODS IS PROOF MERMAIDS AREN'T ONLY IN DREAMS.

I'm here i'm real!

SHE TOO USED PERFORM HERE.

I would sit right over there.

I still have three tails actually.

NOW ALEXA'S KNOWN AS THE SILVER GUY'S *FIANCE.*

THERE'S ONE THING ABOUT HIM YOU WON'T SEE BY STARING THOUGH.

How much he's overcome to do this.

COLLAPSED ARCHES BOUND NOAH TO A WHEELCHAIR AT AGE 12.

The side of his foot he was literally, almost walking - it looked like he could break his ankles.

SUCCESSFUL SURGERY MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR HIM TO MAKE A LIVING ON HIS FEET.

It really is just a good show of how strong he is.

A SILVER GUY.

We were best friends first,.WITH A HEART OF GOLD.

We're still best friends, we just love each other too.
