FIRST WEATHER-WX WALL

Forecast: Warming trend begins Saturday

If you've had enough of the chilly weather, a return to more normal conditions is on the horizon for Southwest Florida. We are going to start the day again in the mid to upper 30s inland with upper 30s to low 40s along the coast. Light to moderate winds from the north will add a little bite to the temperatures again this morning meaning it will feel like the 30s up until between 9 and 10 a.m.

A few high cirrus clouds will streak across the state today, but that shouldn't impact us too much with plentiful sunshine otherwise. Temperatures will get a little warmer today, reaching the mid 60s for most. It's still about 10 degrees below average, but the signs of warming are there. The chill further weakens tonight with only a few scattered upper 30s inland and mid 40s along the coast. Highs on Sunday will be near 70 degrees under sunny skies.

Next week will be another change as temperatures shoot to a few degrees above average starting on Monday. Highs will be in the upper 70s as a developing system brings more humid air and a chance for showers in our region Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will remain warm with numerous clouds as the weather pattern across Florida remains unsettled into next weekend.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

6:42 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL
