NAPLES MURDER SUICIDE FOLO-PKG

04:15:56 THERE WAS CARS AND POLICE CARS ALL OVER THE PLACE 59

THIS WAS THE SCENE RIGHT ACROSS FROM EHRHARDT'S HOME. WHEN 80 YEAR-OLD ANTHONY 81-YEAR-OLD AND JOSEPHINE D'ELIA WERE FOUND DEAD IN THEIR HOME OF AN APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE.

04:10:47 JUST TOTAL SHOCK. I MEAN YOU DON'T EXPECT TO HEAR ANYTHING LIKE THIS 51

THE COUPLE WAS REPORTEDLY FOUND BY A CARETAKER, WHO NEIGHBORS SAY FREQUENTED THE ADDRESS.

04:16:02 I NEVER SAW THEM BUT THERE WERE NURSES GOING IN DAILY I WOULD SEE THE NURSES COME IN AND COME OUT 24-7 07

04:12:22 SO WHEN YOU HEAR THAT AND PEOPLE ARE ON MEDICATION, YOU KINDA CAN SPECULATE AND SAY, THEY'RE NOT IN THEIR RIGHT MIND 29

SOME RESIDENTS SAY THEY NEVER BELIEVED THEY WERE IN DANGER.

04:16:48 KNOWING THE SITUATION AND KNOWING THE PEOPLE THAT WERE THERE, NO, I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE ANY THING THAT ANYBODY WOULD HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT 04

BUT SOME CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER IF THEY COULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT UP IN THE INCIDENT.

04:15:07 THAT'S SCARY BECAUSE LIKE MY DAD WAS SAYING, THAT COULD HAPPEN OUTSIDE THE HOME, IF THEY HAD A WEAPON, THEY COULD COME OUTSIDE AND DO THE EXACT SAME THING 14

AND WHILE THEY RESPECT THE FAMILY'S PRIVACY, NOW, THEY'RE LOOKING FOR MORE INFORMATION.

04:15:18 KNOWING WHAT DID HAPPEN, I THINK THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO ALL OF US 23

SAYING THEY JUST DON'T KNOW HOW IT COULD HAVE COME TO THIS.

04:16:25 THE WAY THINGS ARE TODAY AS FAR AS PEOPLE GETTING OLD AND NOT WANTING TO CONTINUE WITH A SICKNESS OR THE WAY THEY FELT. I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY MAYBE. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY SOMEBODY WOULD DO IT BUT I GUESS PEOPLE COULD 36

04:12:24 YEAH YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHAT GOES ON IN SOMEBODY'S LIFE AND WHAT DRIVES THEM TO DO THAT 30 Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WALL

Forecast: Warmer weather starts tonight

Southwest Florida is finally turning a corner. Thanks to winds that now are coming at us from the east, our prolonged cold spell is over. Instead of temperatures falling into the 30s and 40s tonight, overnight lows will be much more seasonable for this part of the state in early January.

By sunrise on Monday morning, areas of Lee and Collier Counties will be in the mid 50s; that's right on par with where we normally find ourselves this time of year. A Monday morning temp of 54 can be expected in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, with 55 degrees in communities around Naples.

Through Monday afternoon temperatures will warm up rather quickly, topping out in the middle 70s after lunchtime. The official forecast high is 77 degrees in Fort Myers, with the rest of the region ranging between 74 and 78 degrees.

Rain chances will be low on Monday with our afternoon highlighted by a blend of sun and clouds during the daytime hours.

For the work week ahead, a broad storm system is expected to be moving across the northern Gulf of Mexico. With this system in the region, we'll need to leave the opportunity open for more cloud cover here in South Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday along with at least the chance of a few showers. Despite a bit more cloud cover temperatures will still be warmer than where they've been for most of the year, popping into the upper 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

Boating Forecast

No advisories are posted in the Gulf waters on Monday for boaters from the National Weather Service. Mariners can expect east winds between 10 and 15 knots with open seas away from the beaches cresting around 2 feet. A moderate chop is expected on bays and inland waterways.

WX RUNDOWN:

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
