WHILE STILL AT GUNPOINT, THE VICTIM SAYS THE MEN THEN TOOK HIM TO THIS WALMART AND ORDERED HIM TO BUY GUNS.

GREAT WEATHER THIS WEEKEND
The weather forecast is looking very good this weekend. Again tonight our low temperature will drop into the 50's. Skies will be mostly clear and no rain is expected. The daytime hours tomorrow will be in the upper 70's on the beaches to around 80 inland. Lots of sunshine will be the rule on Saturday.
Sunday's weather looks pretty much the same with a nice, cool morning followed by a sunny afternoon with a high just above 80.
Rain is not expected this weekend and our dry season is off to a very dry start. The rain deficit at Page Field in Fort Myers is just over 16.00" for the year.
Looking into next week I expect more pleasant weather and slightly warmer temperatures by Monday.

TONIGHT, A 9-1-1 CALL ABOUT A FIGHT LEADS TO THE SEIZURE OF ALL THIS POT!
WE'RE TALKING THREE DUFFLE BAGS FILLED WITH ALMOST NINE POUNDS IN A FORT MYERS APARTMENT.
NBC2'S MARISA BRAHNEY EXPLAINS HOW THE BUST WENT DOWN.
Return to index of stories...
IT WAS A 9-1-1 CALL ABOUT A FIGHT THAT FIRST BROUGHT POLICE TO WESTCHASE APARTMENTS OVERNIGHT.
One of the officers who responded located a female who said she'd been beaten up or slapped by someone.
The woman told police the man who hit her had headed up to the last apartment on the 2nd floor. But, call it a case of bad directions.that suspect wasn't in #425. Police quickly realized though, something else was going on inside.
Someone inside told them to hang on, in the meantime they could hear some commotion going on in the back. One of the officers went downstairs and sees a duffle bag flying out the back window.
THAT'S WHEN THE CALL TOOK A TURN.
POLICE FOUND 3 BAGS THROWN OUT THE WINDOW, AND INSIDE THEM-- 8 POINT 8 POUNDS OF POT.
FMPD ALSO SEIZED TWO GUNS.
IT'S A FIND THAT HAS NEIGHBORS WHO WANT A MORE FAMILY-FRIENDLY COMMUNITY, PLEASED.
We want our kids to be safe. Whenever they catch people doing something they're not supposed to be doing, we're happy.
AS FOR THAT INITIAL SUSPECT, POLICE NEVER TRACKED HIM DOWN.
GONE TOO WAS THE WOMAN WHO CALLED AND SAID SHE'D BEEN HIT.
She kind of disappeared and was gone. So it very well could have been a setup. It could have been an honest mistake.
Either way, we got 3 people in jail, 2 guns, and quite a bit of marijuana off the streets.
