Our drier than normal weather pattern is coming to an end as rain chances increase through the week, but the heat and humidity sticks around.
Plenty of sunshine will be around for the morning with the possibility of a stray shower along our coastal communities. Temperatures will be rather warm and muggy to start and quickly rebound to near 90° by the noon hour.
The heat will be back tomorrow with afternoon highs climbing into the lower to middle 90s with heat index values between 100°-108°.
As we go through the day, partly sunny skies will take over, with the scattering of showers and storms developing along the sea breeze and pushing east of I-75.
A few storms will linger through the evening before skies begin to clear and lows drop into the middle and upper 70s.
By the weekend, moisture returns to Southwest Florida with scattered showers and storms back in the forecast.
A tropical wave located 1100 miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands is producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Over the next few days, conditions may become a bit more favorable for slow development. Right now, the National Hurricane Center is giving this particular system a low chance for tropical development over the next 48 hours.
