Our drier than normal weather pattern will give way to increasing rain chances by the weekend.
Sunshine will fill our skies Wednesday morning with a few high clouds drifting overhead, after a very warm and muggy start to the day. The vast majority of the area will be dry to start, with the chance of a stray shower developing out in the coastal waters, and drifting toward our beach locations.
Temperatures will warm quickly into the low to mid 90s, however the heat index or the "feels like" temperature will be well over 100°.
Some drier air in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere will keep showers and storms limited in coverage this afternoon and with an onshore wind continuing, any storm activity that does develop along the sea breeze will be isolated and mainly across our inland communities.
The stickiness factor will remain high through the evening and overnight period as lows settle into the middle to upper 70s by Thursday morning.
Deeper tropical moisture will arrive across Southwest Florida by the weekend, which will bring an increase in the cloud cover along with a better coverage of scattered showers and storms, especially near the urban corridor.

IN THE HISTORY OF PRESIDENT OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE LAW.
SEVERAL NEW RULES KICK IN, COVERING WOMEN'S HEALTH.
BUT OPPONENTS ARE UP IN ARMS OVER A SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT --

AS BRIAN MOOAR REPORTS --
DEMOCRATS CELEBRATE A MILESTONE, BUT REPUBLICANS ARE NOT DONE FIGHTING.
Return to index of stories...
BEGINNING TODAY. EVERY EMPLOYER IN THE UNITED STATES IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE FREE CONTRACEPTION TO FEMALE EMPLOYEES.
THAT'S THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL OF EIGHT NEW RULES UNDER PRESIDENT OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE REFORM LAW.
/ Sen. Majority Leader
"Women will no longer have to reach into their pockets to pay for wellness checkups."
HEALTH PLANS NOW MUST PROVIDE FREE SCREENING FOR EVERYTHING FROM STDS TO DIABETES TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
WHILE DEMOCRATS ARE CELEBRATING. SENATE REPUBLICANS TRIED AGAIN TO REPEAL THE LAW KNOWN AS OBAMACARE.
/ Sen. Minority Leader
"If they're proud of it, I don't know why they wouldn't want to vote on it."
Wyoming
"We need to repeal and replace the health care law."
DEMOCRATS WERE OUTRAGED.
California
"What is with this idea of repeal? Do you really want to take away these benefits from women?"
Maryland
"If you want to repeal that, then bring it on!"
OF THE NEW RULES THAT KICK IN TODAY. RELIGIOUS AND CONSERVATIVE GROUPS ARE MOST UPSET ABOUT THE CONTRACEPTIVE REQUIREMENT FOR EMPLOYERS.
"It forces an impossible choice on them, either they've got to violate their conscience or they'll be faced with extraordinary fines."
THE RULE'S ALREADY BEING CHALLENGED IN THE COURTS BY FOES OF THE PRESIDENT'S HEALTH CARE LAW.
WHO ARE HOPING TO REFIGHT THE BATTLE IN THE SUPREME COURT.
