OFFICERS SAY ROBERT PAGANO POINTED HIS GUN AT TWO CENTURY LINK EMPLOYEES OUTSIDE HIS HOME IN CAPE CORAL.
WHILE NO SHOTS WERE FIRED -- IT'S THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS THAT SALESMEN WERE MET WITH A WEAPON.

Return to index of stories...
"cape coral detectives tell us this all started when two century link employees knocked on the man's front door.
Investigators say when the workers left Pagano stormed out in the backyard and pulled his pistol out and pointed it at them standing in this driveway."
According to Pagano's arrest report, the workers needed to repair phone lines in the area and wanted to tell the man as a common courtesy.
Century link representatives explain the employees reported to work today after believing their lives were in jeopardy.
The company will reiterate safety rules given yesterday morning's run-in.
As for what might caused the incident, A neighbor tells abc7 - Pagano sleeps during the day and might have been startled.
Karen Marzullo, neighbor
4625 "now it seems like everybody is getting that way. They don't want to open the door because they dont know who is going to be on the other side."
"we did reach out to other ultities. Comcast tells us their employees attend safety classes before field work.
Cape coral police officers urge people to give them a call if you feel threatened and not to take matters into your own hands. Reporting in Cape coral, Steve campion, abc7."

Near the site of Sunday's rampage last night. A candle light vigil as a
community comes together to mourn
And we're learning more about the suspected shooter
Police have identified this man. Wade Michael Page an Army veteran with
alleged ties to white supremacist groups.
POLICE SCANNER GFX
SCANNER SOT: he is a bald male with glasses inside with a gun and there were
shots fired."
Officials tell ABC News that Page appeared to fire randomly around the
temple using a 9 millimeter semi-automatic pistol purchased legally at this
gun shop just days before the shooting
Civil rights groups say they had tracked Page's ties to neo-Nazi groups
going back 10 years! He was known as the leader of a white power rock group
called End Apathy
End Apathy: Adapt to the trying times or pay with your life.
Mark Potok: The music is an incredibly violent genre of rock 'n roll/and
boiled down to a word, it's genocide.
And yet amid the chaos: heroes.
The president of the temple SATWANT KALEKA was killed while trying to tackle
the shooter but managed to stab him with a butter knife.
AMARDEEP KALEKA
Son of Temple President
KALEKA SOT: "My father went after that guy and tried to stop him and slow
him down enough to let other people get to safety."
KIRIT RADIA STANDUP CLOSE:
"And now there are questions whether Sunday's shooting could have been
prevented. The FBI was reportedly looking into Wade's alleged support for
domestic terror groups but ultimately decided they didn't have enough
evidence to open a full investigation.

Return to index of stories...
We'll notice some changes in the rain department today as our rain chances take a little bit of a dip, but we'll still be in line for some hit or miss afternoon storms during the peak heating of the day.
The difference between today and yesterday, though, is today's rain will likely cover much less ground; rain coverage will be considerably lower at 30% instead of Monday's 70%.
It also appears the best chance of getting wet will be over northern portions of the viewing area, so if you live in Collier County, your chances of seeing a storm will be lower than in Charlotte County.
Aside from the isolated afternoon storms, today will be mainly sunny and hot. Temperatures will have the potential to warm into the mid 90s, and the heat index will be near 100 degrees.
Rain chances will dwindle even more Wednesday as some drier air briefly takes hold of Southwest Florida, so the main focus will be on the heat as temperatures soar into the mid 90s.
By Thursday and Friday, afternoon showers and storms will make a comeback, and it looks like the afternoon thunderstorm pattern will be in place through the upcoming weekend as well.
In the tropics, Ernesto is struggling with some dry air at the moment, which has prevented the storm from strengthening into a hurricane overnight. Ernesto still has very warm water to work with as well as an overall favorable environment for future strengthening before landfall tonight near Belize and the Yucatan peninsula. Once Ernesto crosses the Yucatan, the system is expected to briefly move into the southern Gulf, and its final destination will likely be the coast of Mexico Friday morning.
Elsewhere, the former Tropical Storm Florence is no longer a tropical threat as what was left of the system eroded due to dry air and wind shear.

WATER MOLECULES IN HUMID AIR CAN ENTER THE HAIR SHAFT AND CAUSE IT TO SWELL! TO KNOCK IT DOWN, USE SERUMS THAT HAVE A SILICONE BASE. SILICONE TEMPORARILY GLUES THE HAIR CUTICLE AND PREVENTS IT FROM ABSORBING WATER. YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH AN OILY SCALP! SCIENTISTS SAY EXTRA HEAT CAUSES YOUR SEBACEOUS GLANDS TO PRODUCE MORE OIL. FOR A QUICK FIX, BLOT YOUR SCALP AND HAIRLINE WITH WITCH HAZEL…A NATURAL OIL-DISSOLVING ASTRINGENT. FINALLY, IS CHLORINE TURNING YOU GREEN? THE METALS IN POOL WATER CAN LEAVE A DISCOLORING FILM ON YOUR HAIR. THE EFFECT CAN OCCUR IN ALL HAIR COLORS, IT'S JUST MORE OBVIOUS IN BLONDES. TO PREVENT IT, WET YOUR HAIR WITH TAP WATER BEFORE SWIMMING. DRY HAIR ABSORBS THE LIQUID TO WHICH IT'S FIRST EXPOSED. IF THE DAMAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE. RINSE HAIR WITH CIDER VINEGAR AND WATER. ANTI-BULLYING ADVOCATES ARE LOOKING FOR MESSAGES LIKE THIS.
.URGING THOSE WHO WITNESS BULLYING TO DO SOMETHING.
AT A BULLYING PREVENTION SUMMIT THAT WRAPPED UP IN WASHINGTON.
.THAT WAS ALSO THE MESSAGE THE WHITE HOUSE WANTED OUT.
"So many people observe bullying and they just look the other way. You don't have to
look the other way, you could actually do something"
THE SUMMIT ATTRACTED BULLYING VICTIMS LIKE 17 YEAR OLD STEVEN WAYMAN OF UTAH.
"I'd get punched - kicked, black eyes - bruises and i'd lie to my mom and say it was nothing. or I fell off slides - i just fell down"
ANOTHER BULLYING VICTIM. SUPERSTAR LADY GAGA.
.WHOSE MOTHER DESCRIBED RELENTLESS BULLYING SHE SUFFERED AS A TEENAGER.
"Everything from her locker being defamed at school.she was actually put in a trash can at one point"
CYNTHIA GERMANOTTA HELPS WITH HER DAUGHTER'S OWN ANTI-BULLYING FOUNDATION.
"There's some pretty empirical evidence that shows that bystanders can do something to help stop and prevent bullying"
GERMANOTTA'S INVOLVEMENT IS WHAT EXPERTS SAY OTHER PARENTS SHOULD DO..
"all of us - all adults that interact with kids - need to take on bullying prevention efforts.
THEY SAY THAT MEANS EVEN THOUGH YOUR CHILD MAY NOT BE A VICTIM. CONVINCE THEM TO TELL YOU OF OTHERS WHO ARE.
