"More sunshine and a few afternoon storms"
More sunshine is in order this Tuesday along with some hit or miss storms during the afternoon. The atmosphere will actually become a little more stable today, so the overall coverage of rain will be less with the chance of getting hit by a storm between 30-40%.
Temperatures will return to the 90s this afternoon, and some spots could even warm into the middle 90s. Afternoon highs for our coastal communities will be a touch lower with highs there in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Outside of a passing thunderstorm, the breeze won't be too strong today. Winds will start calm and then turn west this afternoon behind the sea breeze, ranging from 5-10 mph.
One or two lingering storms will be possible tonight, but most spots will stay dry with a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky. Overnight temperatures will be close to average with lows in the mid to upper 70s.
Rain chances should stay pretty steady through the remainder of the week. Our mornings will start dry and sunny, but we'll see the potential for a pop up storm each afternoon.
The tropics remain fairly quiet with only two areas of interest to track: one in the Caribbean and another in the open Atlantic. Both disturbances have little chance of developing into an organized tropical system, but more importantly, we don't expect either of these waves to move toward Southwest Florida.

NATS - Iowa state fair - woman to Obama
"Can I shake your hand?"
The Democratic and Republican tickets will be out in full force once again
today, hunting for votes in crucial battleground states.
NATS - Ryan walking thru fairgrounds
"We'll get into all these policy things later."
Yesterday in Iowa, a showdown between Mitt Romney's runningmate Congressman
Paul Ryan and President Obama.
The President telling drought stricken farmers that Ryan stalled a plan in
Congress to bring them relief.
SOT Obama
"SO IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE CONGRESSMAN RYAN, TELL HIM HOW IMPORTANT THIS FARM
BILL IS TO IOWA AND OUR RURAL COMMUNITIES."
On his first solo day of campaigning Ryan visited the Iowa State Fair, where
he went after the President on the economy.
SOT Paul Ryan
"WHERE ARE THE JOBS, MR. PRESIDENT?"
And got a taste of the state's bare-knuckled politics.
NATS - heckler
"ARE YOU GOING TO CUT MEDICARE?"
.when a protestor interrupted him, bringing up his controversial plan to
turn Medicare into a voucher system.
Since the moment Romney tapped Ryan as his runningmate, Democrats have
assailed the Ryan budget and his proposal for Medicare, hoping it angers
seniors in crucial states like Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Romney has tried to separate himself from the Ryan budget plan.
But campaigning in Florida, yesterday, the former governor was vague about
which parts of the Ryan plan he disagrees with.
SOT Romney
"I'M SURE THERE ARE PLACES THAT MY BUDGET IS DIFFERENT THAN HIS, BUT WE'RE
ON THE SAME PAGE AS I'VE SAID BEFORE."
So how do Americans view Romney's choice of Ryan? According to a new ABC
News/ Washington Post poll, 38-percent of respondents had a favorable view
of the pick, to 33-percent unfavorable.
