THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Even though Tropical Storm Isaac continues to move farther away from Southwest Florida, we'll still be on the outer edge of the storm's circulation today, keeping those hit or miss tropical showers around through the day. Any shower that moves in will move very swiftly from south to north at a pace of about 40-50 mph. A coastal flood advisory is in effect through this afternoon with tide expected to rise 1-2 feet above average, and we'll also continue to see pretty high surf in the Gulf.
The good news about today is we expect less cloud cover and more sunshine, but our sky will have the potential to go from blue to gray very quickly with the scattered tropical showers around. The extra sunshine should be able to send our temperatures into the upper 80s through the afternoon.
Winds won't be quite as strong today, but we'll still notice some gusty breezes, especially along the coast. Our wind will be out of the south today between 10-20 mph with gusts potentially reaching 25-30 mph.
Our weather will gradually transition into a more normal pattern as we go through the remainder of the week. By Wednesday, we'll still see some wrap around moisture from Isaac bring in some tropical showers, but we'll also notice a nice mix of sun and clouds.
From Thursday into the weekend, we'll get back to our dry, sunny mornings and hot afternoons as well as those late day scattered showers and storms.

RESIDENTS OF LOW-LYING COASTAL AREAS FROM THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE TO SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA WERE ORDERED TO EVACUATE AHEAD OF STORM SURGES AND HEAVY RAIN.
RESIDENTS BOARDED UP WINDOWS OF HOMES AND BUSINESSES. EVEN INMATES CHIPPED IN.
ISAAC IS PROJECTED TO MAKE LANDFALL IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA TONIGHT, POSSIBLY AS A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE WITH TOP WINDS OF ABOUT 90 MILES PER HOUR.
IT'S A DAY SHY OF THE SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF HURRICANE KATRINA'S LANDFALL.
MOST OF KATRINA'S NEARLY 18-HUNDRED DEATHS HAPPENED WHEN THE PROTECTIVE LEVEES AROUND NEW ORLEANS FAILED, FLOODING THE CITY.
THE MAYOR SAYS THE LEVEES HAVE SEEN 10-BILLION DOLLARS IN IMPROVEMENTS SINCE KATRINA.
AND THE CITY'S PUMP STATIONS HAVE BACKUP GENERATORS READY IN CASE OF ELECTRICAL OUTAGES.
THE GOVERNOR AND MAYOR ARE OFFERING REASSURANCES AND WARNINGS ABOUT ISAAC, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO BE WEAKER THAN KATRINA.
Even though one of the refrains you've heard is we're hoping for the best, we're also preparing for the worst. So in addition to sheltering and medical and transportation, and food resources, we also have prepared for the worst and are ready for search and rescue missions.
Notwithstanding the fact we are not expecting a Katrina-like event, that is, breaking the levees with that kind of flooding in the city, a category one and category two storm can bring significant damage in terms of wind, water, or electric, and a lot of loss of life comes from people being careless and not paying attention.
I'M ED PAYNE REPORTING.

Presidential nomination -- a homecoming visit to his native Janesville, WI
RYAN SOT: Hello Janesville it's good to be home!

RYAN FOX NEWS SOT: We've had plenty of presidents in their 40s and vice

And up in Wolfboro, New Hampshire both Romneys prepared for their convention
speeches
ROMNEY SOT: I like my speech. I really like Ann's speech.
Ann Romney speaks tonight -- and so does convention keynoter -- tough
talking new jersey governor Chris Christie -- a conservative star who has
managed to appeal to independents in his home state. In a little preview
Monday, Christie fired up the California delegation:

STUDIES LOOKING AT THE RISKS OF VARIOUS FORMS OF BIRTH CONTROL ARE CONSTANTLY UNDER WAY. BUT THE RESULTS FROM ALL THE STUDIES CAN BE CONFUSING.
SHOULD YOU WORRY ABOUT YOUR BIRTH CONTROL RISKS?
KRISTI NELSON EXPLAINS.
Return to index of stories...
DR. CHERISE WILEY DID SOMETHING LOTS OF WOMEN DO.SHE SWITCHED BIRTH CONTROL PILLS TO SAVE MONEY. OPTING FOR A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE.
"I was on one type of birth control and in order to save costs, I was a resident at the time, I changed my birth control which increased the estrogen."
ESTROGEN INCREASES THE RISK FOR BLOOD CLOTTING AND WITHIN A MONTH WILEY'S DECISION HAD TURNED THE DOCTOR INTO A PATIENT. SHE HAD CHEST PAIN AND SHORTNESS OF BREATH.
"I was found to have a PE. as a matter of fact i had multiple PEs, which are blood clots in the lungs. so i had that immediately I was admitted into the hospital, had to be on blood thinners for a course of about six months to a year's time."
WILEY HAS A DISORDER THAT MAKES HER MORE PRONE TO BLOOD CLOTS WHICH SHE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT BEFORE IT PUSHED HER RISK FACTORS OVER THE LINE.
"That's extremely rare, but when you hear about those episodes of things happening in a young woman of reproductive age, its a pretty devastating event."
BLOOD CLOTS ARE JUST ONE THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH CONTRACEPTIVES. DR. HADDOCK SAYS STUDIES ARE CONSTANTLY UNDERWAY EXAMINING THE RISKS OF VARIOUS CONTRACEPTIVES.
"They all have different pluses and minuses and every person is different which one is going to work for them."
BUT ALL THE RESULTS FROM THOSE STUDIES CAN BE CONFUSING FOR WOMEN..
FOR EXAMPLE. IN MAY. A STUDY IN THE BRITISH MEDICAL JOURNAL SAID NON-ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES. LIKE RINGS, IMPLANTS AND SKIN PATCHES. CARRY A HIGHER RISK FOR BLOOD CLOTS THAT PILLS.
AND IN JUNE. A STUDY IN THE NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE REPORTED THAT BIRTH CONTROL PILLS WITH A MIX OF BOTH ESTROGEN AND PROGESTERONE, CAN DOUBLE A WOMAN'S RISK OF HAVING A HEART ATTACK OR STROKE
DOCTOR HADDOCK SAYS THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT ALL OF THESE RISKS ARE RARE. IN NINE YEARS SHE'S ONLY SEEN TWO BLOOD CLOT CASES RELATED TO BIRTH-CONTROL.
"Hormonal contraceptions all have side effects, there is nothing that is perfect, so you really have to decide which one works best for you."

SHE'S THE BEAUTIFUL YOUNG OPERA SINGER WHO HIT A HIGH NOTE WITH DANCING WITH
THE STARS FANS LAST SEASON
DWTS Nats
KATHERINE JENKINS MAKING IT ALL THE WAY TO THE FINALS AND WINNING MILLIONS
OF HEARTS ALONG THE WAY.
DWTS Nats - something from her talking with the judges
BUT NOW THE 32-YEAR-OLD IS DEFENDING HERSELF AGAINST A SCANDALOUS AND
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS RUMOR WHISPERS OF AN ALLEGED AFFAIR WITH MARRIED
FATHER-OF-FOUR DAVID BECKHAM. FALSE ALLEGATIONS, JENKINS SAYS, SO WHITE HOT
SHE'S EVEN RECEIVING DEATH THREATS OVER THEM.
Brody Brown/US Weekly: The rumors really started once Katherine came to the
US for Dancing with the Stars. She was a contestandt on the most recent
season.
FURIOUS POSH AND BECKS FANS HAVE TAKEN TO THE TWITTERSFERE
GFX: ONE PERSON WRITING: "THAT IS GETTING CUT IF DAVID AND POSH
SPLIT" AND ANOTHER WRITING: 'I'LL KILL THAT KATHERINE JENKINS.
JENKINS SAYS SHE'S SO FRIGHTENED BY THE BACKLASH, SHE'S NOW REPORTED THE
THREATENING TWEETS TO POLICE. SHE ADDRESSED THE RUMORS HEAD ON IN A SERIES
OF TWEETS.
GFX:I ABSOLUTELY DENY I'VE HAD AN AFFAIR WITH DAVID BECKHAM.
GFX: THE RUMOURS ARE VERY HURTFUL, UNTRUE & MY LAWYERS TELL ME ACTIONABLE.
GFX:I'VE ONLY MET DAVID TWICE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON MY OWN WITH HIM AND
NEVER ARRANGED TO MEET UP.
US Weekly Bite: In getting so specific with her Tweets katherine is really
trying to rule out any possibility that she and David had gotton together.
WHILE BECKHAM HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN HIS FAIR SHARE OF CHEATING RUMORS AND
ADMITTED SCANDALS OVER HIS 13-YEAR MARRIAGE TO POSH. HE'S ALSO TRYING TO
SHUT THIS RUMOR MILL DOWN. RELEASING HIS OWN STATEMENT SAYING: GFX: WE
REFUSE TO POST ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THE FALSE RUMOR IN THE TABLOIDS.
WHILE POLICE CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE THE THREATS, JENKINS SAYS SHE JUST
WANTS TO MOVE FORWARD POSTING THIS PHOTO OF HERSELF SMILING IN A RECORDING
STUDIO OVER THE WEEKENDWITH A CAPTION THAT READ: BACK TO WORK

MICHELLE CARAGOL HAS SEEN SOME UNIQUE ITEMS COME AND GO
"We see a lot of really unique things."
BUT NEVER ANYTHING
"When this piece came in we had to stare at it for a while."
QUITE LIKE THIS
"We hadn't seen anything like it before."
AN ODD, EYE CATCHING CABINET
HANDMADE WITH LOTS
AND LOTS OF IDENTICAL BUSINESS MEN
"I think there's 46 guys."
ALL IN BLUE SUITS AND RED TIES CARVED INTO THE FRONT
"It has a lot of dudes I think they are corporate dudes in their suits and ties."
A PIECE BROUGHT IN BY A LOCAL FAMILY CLEANING OUT THEIR BARN WHO HAD HOPED IT MIGHT FETCH A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS IF ANYONE ACTUALLY WANTED TO BUY IT.
"They had had it in their barn for 6 years so you automatically think if they keep it in their barn it's not worth very much."
"After all it's just a cabinet with doors that open and close and arguably some handsome business men on the front but at first no one realized it's actually an expense piece of art work."
"Fortunately for us an artist friend had come into the store and she knew immediately."
AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH MICHELLE FOUND THAT THIS CABINET IS THE WORK OF A RATHER FAMOUS LATE ARTIST.
"Steven Huneck"
WHO'S DONE SIMILAR ONE OF KIND PIECES LIKE THIS ONE WHICH MUCH TO MAGGIE'S SURPRISE IS WORTH A LOT OF MONEY.
"About 20 thousand dollars worth of money."
SO MICHELLE UPPED THE STICKER PRICE TO 18,000 DOLLARS AND WHILE IT'S BRINGING IN MORE CURIOSITY THAN CASH
MICHELLE DOESN'T MIND ADMITTING THE STYLE AND PRICE ISN'T FOR EVERYONE
"Some people come in and there are creeped out."
EVEN IF IN HER SHOP THESE CREEPY DUDES AND THIS ODD BARN FIND CABINET HAVE GROWN ON HER.
"It has really grown on us."
