High pressure building across the eastern United States is setting up to deliver us some afternoon rain each day this week. The winds are coming around to a northeasterly direction which is expected to continue through the weekend. The morning weather forecast should be mainly dry for the rest of the week with lows in the mid 70's. Afternoon high temperatures will climb to the low 90's for the next few days and with building clouds each afternoon we will track showers and downpours developing inland and moving back toward the Gulf of Mexico by late day. Dry air and comfortable temperatures don't look to be in the cards for us for the rest of the week.

MANN 22:17:08 at that time it sounded like it was a temporary shut down 6-9 months until we can get our act together. 14
BUT SINCE THEN THE NBC2 INVESTIGATORS UNCOVERED AN ALMOST THREE MILLION DOLLAR BILLING BLUNDER.
THE CLERK OF COURTS IS INVESTIGATING THAT.
AND SO IS THE F-A-A.
AND TODAY, HAWES TOLD COMMISSIONERS HER OFFICE WILL BE LOOKING INTO MEDSTAR'S OPERATIONS AND PERSONNEL ISSUES. AFTER CLAIMS EMPLOYEES *TRIED TO BRING ATTENTION TO MEDSTAR'S ISSUES MONTHS AGO.

deputies know little about the woman pulled from the peace river this morning.
sheriff 6:37 "her body has been recovered so now we're trying to identify this young lady."
two men have been arrested in connection with her death-
and we're told they're not cooperating with law enforcement.
sheriff 6:13 "all we know is that she's possibly from the tampa area- she's a black female, 18-25 years of age. we were told that her first name was possibly keisha."
search crews found her by helicopter today after their search began sunday.
about 2 pm that day-
detectives say the woman was with her boyfriend, mark huntley and his friend- andrew skevington, on the bridge at morgan park.
investigators report that huntley pressured his girlfriend to jump into the water- even though she told him she couldn't swim.
deputies say he pushed her in anyway.
sheriff 6:04 "she went under and was not seen again."
deputies say both men then jumped in the water, but it was too late.
they were arrested-
huntley for manslaughter and skevington for accessory after the fact- that's because deputies say the 2 men took all of the victim's things- including her id, and took off.
michael johnson watched the search-
michael 1:11 "this right here is just odd, weird and plain disturbing."
and is relieved the victim has been found.
deputies here are working with law enforcement agencies in the tampa area to hopefully figure out who she is.

ARGUABLY THE HARDEST HIT IN THE RECESSON, SOUTHWEST FLORIDA IS ON THE MAP AGAIN---THIS TIME FOR PUTTING PEOPLE BACK TO WORK.
WITH LEE COUNTY'S UNEMPLOYMENT SITTING AT 9.7 PERCENT, HIGHER THAN THE NATIONAL AVERAGE, BUT IT COULD BE GOING LOWER WITH TWO JOB FAIRS LINED UP AT SOUTHWEST FLORIDA WORKS.
that's just a reflection of the local labor market and that employers are interested in hiring again. So the outlook is very good, very positive.
FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY ECONOMICS PROFESSOR DR. GARY JACKSON SAYS IT'S NOT A SURPISE HIRING IS ON THE UPSWING WITH SEASON JUST AROUND THE CORNER
we've not added the number of jobs we'd like to be adding but certainly that's a positive sign that 22% of the companies in the Manpower survey indicated that they're going to be adding employees.
THE AREAS WHERE THOSE EMPLOYEES WILL BE ADDED DR. JACKSON SAYS ARE RETAIL, PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS SERVICES, HEALTHCARE, AND OF COURSE---HOSPITALITY.
we're going to need more help at the front desk, absolutely, and guest services, we're going to need more help in housekeeping.
AT HOTEL INDIGO IN DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS--A DOZEN PEOPLE WERE HIRED THIS SUMMER.
so fourth quarter, definitely going to need some new faces.
WHILE THIS LATEST SURVEY IS POSITIVE, DR. JACKSON SAYS THERE ARE STILL SOME UNCERTAINITES WITH EMPLOYERS.
there's the election, what's happening in Europe, the issues with the federal budget and healthcare.
BUT EVEN WITH ALL THOSE UNCERTAINTIES, THEY'RE CERTAIN AT HOTEL INDIGO THEY'LL BE HIRING MORE FOLKS IN THE MONTHS TO COME.
