Drier morning, afternoon storms"
After a wet start to the week, each and every day our weather will continue to improve. A cold front located across north central Florida will remain draped across the Peninsula today, while it weakens and eventually washes out.
Our morning will more than likely start off mostly dry with patchy clouds and temperatures in the middle 70s. With a few more sunnier spells in the forecast this afternoon, highs will be a bit warmer as they climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s.
With plenty of moisture still across the area, a few scattered showers and storms will develop primarily during the afternoon and favor our inland communities as our steering winds remain light out of the southwest.
Tonight, a few lingering showers are possible before our skies begin to clear and lows will settle into the middle 70s under quiet conditions
Friday and into the weekend, easterly flow will return bringing back our sunny and dry mornings with mainly afternoon downpours.
The tropics remain fairly quiet considering we're in the middle of September. Tropical Storm Nadine continues to pack winds of 50mph, while it remains on an easterly path keeping it south of the Azores.

BUILDING, HOME SALES AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
ABC'S TAHMAN BRADLEY HAS THE LATEST FINANCIAL NEWS --
INTERSECTING WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGNS.
Return to index of stories...
PKG SCRIPT:
This morning, signs the economy is turning around.
New economic data suggest the troubled housing market has bottomed out and
is now recovering.
Posting a two-year high, existing home sales shot up nearly eight-
percent in August.
Builders broke ground on a lot more homes last month. up more than
two-percent.
All that sent home builder confidence to its highest level in six years
.
And there's promising news about jobs.
Target said it plans to hire 80- to 90-thousand holiday workers.
Kohls -- more than 52-thousand temporary workers.
The improving economic news could impact the presidential race during the
final sprint.
Mitt Romney is trying to pivot his campaign back to economic issues after
the firestorm surrounding his private comments to wealthy donors that 47-
percent of Americans see themselves as victims.
He addressed the comments during a Univision Forum last night in the
battleground state of Florida, then quickly moved on to the economy.
SOT Romney
"MY CAMPAIGN IS ABOUT THE 100% IN AMERICA AND I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THEM. I AM
CONCERNED ABOUT THE FACT THAT OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS, LIFE HAS BECOME
HARDER FOR AMERICANS."
President Obama's message: if voters want the economy to bounce back, they
need to give him a second term.
It's a message Obama surrogate, Bill Clinton has taken on the road.
SOT Bill Clinton
"WE COULD GROW AND WE HAVE GROWN AND WE WILL GROW AGAIN. BUT YOU NEED TO RE-
ELECT PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA TO DO IT."
With polls showing President Obama leading in some of the crucial
battleground states, the Romney campaign will soon pick up speed.
Romney and his running-mate Paul Ryan begin a three-day bus tour in Ohio
starting on Monday.
