GOOD MORNING SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.
THANKS FOR WAKING UP WITH ABC-7.
TODAY IS SATURDAY.OCTOBER 6TH.
I'M DANIELLE KOLENIAK.
BEFORE WE GET TO ALL OF THE BIG STORIES OF THE DAY.
LETS CHECK IN WITH METEOROLOGIST KIRA MINER WITH OUR STORMWARN 7 FORECAST.
Return to index of stories...
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Even though the we are two weeks into the fall season, our weather pattern has been stuck in a mid summers mode over the last few days.
High pressure across the western Atlantic that has controlled our weather will begin to weaken and that will bring some subtle changes to our weekend forecast. Our morning will start off relatively quiet with the possibility of some patchy fog, especially for those areas that received rain yesterday. Once the low clouds and fog lift, mostly sunny skies will prevail along with temperatures in the middle and upper 70s.
Saturday afternoon will feature a mix of sun and clouds and another round of scattered showers and storms moving from east to west and winding up close to the urban corridor, where the seabreeze will stay pinned closer to home.
Any rain that develops will linger through the evening hours before subsiding just after sunset. Partly cloudy skies will remain overhead and lows will settle into the middle and upper 70s keeping it quite humid.
The plume of tropical moisture to our north and west associated with a decaying frontal boundary will likely make a return to Southwest Florida but not until Sunday as a cold front approaches the northern Gulf coast states. This will make our skies a bit cloudier along with scattered downpours.
Showers and storms will remain in the forecast through Monday, before a drying trend keeps our rain prospects on the low end. High pressure will build in across the southeastern states with sunnier and more comfortable conditions by the middle of next week.
In the tropics, all is quiet as Tropical Storm Oscar was destroyed by some dry air and strong upper level wind shear.

KEN KINASZCZUK, GOLFER: A lot of old people play here and it probably scares the hell out of them thinking someone will jump out at them or something

ACTRESS AND ACTIVIST DARYL HANNAH IS OUT OF JAIL,
BUT ON THE OFFENSIVE WHEN IT COMES TO THE KEYSTONE X-L PIPELINE.
SHE WAS ARRESTED PROTESTING THE PORTION OF THE TRANS-CONTINENTAL PIPELINE THAT GOES THROUGH TEXAS.
HANNAH WAS ARRESTED IN WOOD COUNTY, WITH LAND OWNER ELEANOR FAIRCHILD, WHO SAYS THE COMPANY BUILDING THE PIPELINE,
TRANS-CANADA, USED EMINENT DOMAIN LAWS TO BUILD ON HER LAND.
THE ACTRESS SPOKE TO REPORTERS AS SHE LEFT JAIL.

I think it's pretty ironic that TransCanada said we were foreign activists. I mean out of state. She is a Texan on her own property which she still has to pay the taxes for even their easement which she never gave them approval for. She never agreed to it. So we're talking about a foreign company. Not even out of state.
FAIRCHILD SAYS HER MAIN OBJECTION IS THAT THE PIPELINE WILL CARRY TAR SAND,
AND NOT REGULAR CRUDE OIL.
SHE SAYS THAT'S MORE DANGEROUS THAN REGULAR OIL.

SO - WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE LOVE THIS GUY'S MUSIC -
EVEN THO THEY CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE WORDS?
NOLAN CRANE TOOK A LOOK TO FIND OUT.

ON JULY 15TH A KOREAN RAPPER NAMED PSY UPLOADED A NEW MUSIC VIDEO ON YOUTUBE, CALLED GANGNAM STYLE, AND IT HAS TAKEN THE WORLD BY STORM IN LESS THAN THREE MONTHS.
"Gangnam Style has had a huge success especially on the billboard charts. It's number one on the digital charts, it's number one on the Youtube charts and it hit number 28 for the first time last week on our charts, the top 40 mainstream," says SHY TYLER.
EVEN THOUGH THE SONG IS SUNG IN KOREAN, THAT DOESN'T STOP PEOPLE HERE FROM LISTENING TO IT. PSY'S DANCE MOVES, WHERE HE PRETENDS TO RIDE AN IMAGINARY HORSE IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY HIGH SCHOOL KIDS LOVE THE VIDEO.
"I feel like everybody should go out and learn the dance because it's just awesome and catchy and everyone should just Gangnam Style."
"Learn the dance and you'll have the time of your life."
EVEN SHY TYLER LOVES DOING THE GANGNUM STYLE DANCE.
"Every time it comes on we're up and dancing and having a good time and by the time we have to go back on the air were, sorry guys we're been dancing but it's always a good time. Love Gangnam Style."
BUT NOT EVERYONE THINKS THIS IS THE BEST SONG THEY HAVE EVER HEARD, AND SOME ARE EVEN SURPRISED THAT A SONG SUNG IN KOREAN COULD BE SO POPULAR HERE IN AMERICA.
"I think it is ridiculous because we have so many people viewing it including children who are in school, children who are in high school. They are playing it popular on the radio stations and you can't understand anything that they are saying."
BUT THESE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SAY WITH A CATCHY BEAT, AND COOL DANCE, THE LANGUAGE OF THE SONG DOESN'T MATTER WHEN YOUR HAVING FUN.
"I actually have no clue what he is singing about, it's just catchy so I just go ahead and dance to it," says MIMA FONGBONG.
"You only need to know one phrase, 'Oppa Gangnam Style' like you said and you just get into it."
AS EVERYONE KEEPS DANCING TO GANGNAM STYLE, THE NUMBER OF VIEWS ON YOUTUBE WILL CONTINUE TO CLIMB.
