"Mr. Congressman how do you feel about last night. "I feel great."
It was a spirited show-down between Mitt Romney's running mate and Vice
President Joe Biden.
They disagreed on virtually everything from Syria to Medicare.

SOT ROMNEY
There was one person on stage last night who was thoughtful, and respectful,
steady and poised. the kind of person you want to turn to in a crisis and
that was the next vice president of the United States. Paul Ryan.
And Vice President Biden campaigned today in Ryan's homestate of Wisconsin.
SOT JOE BIDEN/TBA

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Return to index of stories...
Everybody enjoyed another sunny, rain free day in Southwest Florida Friday. The humidity stayed comfortable and the breeze added tot he comfort factor.
Outdoor plans for Saturday will not be canceled due to rain, as we have another day without rain in the forecast. High Pressure over the Appalachian Mountain chance will drift just a little closer to Tropical Storm Patty in the Atlantic.
These two features getting a little closer together means a breezier day for Southwest Florida on Saturday. Expect a mostly to partly sunny day with easterly wind gusts to 30 MPH or better. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s.
By Sunday, this easterly wind will increase our humidity a little, and a few showers may ride the breeze during the afternoon into Southwest Florida.
Expect 20% of the area to get wet. These will be quick moving, short-lived little showers that shouldn't hamper outdoor activities too much. Afternoon highs will again be in the upper 80s.
Monday will also have a few showers pushing into Southwest Florida, but more dry air will move in by Tuesday, squashing the rain chance once again.

The Space Shuttle Endeavour is on its final journey. After 25 missions to
space, Endeavour is now on what they are calling "Mission 26".the trip
from LAX to its retirement home at the California Science Center. People
lined the route to catch the once in a lifetime sight.
SOT-MOS WOMAN 1: "This is the only time you're going to be able to see it
this time, this way, going down the street.
SOT-MOS WOMAN 2: "Coming along the boulevard it was just absolutely fabulous
SOT-MOS WOMAN 4 "I even watched it fly over the other day. Well this is
exciting; you can't beat this."
It's a complicated move, but also a surreal view. The Shuttle Endeavour --
used to soaring above the Earth at more than 17-thousand miles an hour, is
now reduced to crawling on a California highway at just 2 miles per hour. At
that leisurely pace, it's going to take two days for the five-story, 165,
000 pound shuttle to travel the 12 miles to reach its destination. Work
crews cut down hundreds of trees and dozens of power lines were to
accommodate the size of the spacecraft.
Marty Fabrick/project manager -
MOVING SOMETHING THE SIZE OF THE SPACE SHUTTLE WITH A 78 FOOT WINGSPAN
THROUGH THE CITY STREETS IS MAYBE NOT ROCKET SCIENCE BUT IT'S NOT TOO FAR
FROM IT.
Mark Kelly was Endeavour's last commander. He's says he's glad the shuttle
will have a west coast home.
Kelly: it is really nice to see it go into the California Science center
because they get a lot of people that go through there every year, millions
of visitors.
The Endeavour is being moving on a specialized carrier typically used to
haul oil rigs, bridges and heavy equipment. The wheels can spin in any
direction, an operator using a joystick can zigzag past any obstacles on
the street.

OPAL BEACH -- A Valpariaso boy and a Marine at NAS Corry Station are in the
national spotlight for the way they crossed the finish line at a triathlon.
Ben Baltz, 11, lost his leg to bone cancer at the age six, still he's
crossed six triathlon finish lines in his young life.
All of them without his right leg, all of them without help. But its the
finish at a race on Opal Beach that has captured the country's heart.
"It just broke," Ben said. "It's broken before but not in a race."
Ben had already completed two-thirds of the triathlon. He'd swam three miles
, biked 150 yards and was halfway through his one mile run when volunteering
Marines noticed his athletiscm.
"Ben was not only running but he was passing other contestants. He was doing
really well and we were watching him for a second. All of a sudden, his
prosthetic failed and he fell flat on his face," said PFC. Matthew Morgan.
But Ben was not to be stopped.
"By the time we ran over there he'd already jumped up and tried to fix it
while continuing the race," Morgan said.
When Morgan ask Ben is he needed help, "he said no, I'm gonna finish the
race," Morgan described.
Then Ben realized in order to cross the finish line, just half a mile away,
he would need his leg or a helping hand.
Meanwhile Ben's mom waited for him at the finish line, wondering about her
son. "He just never showed up, so I was getting worried," she said.
But there was no need. For Marines, there is no such thing as "off-duty."
"I told him hop on," Morgan said. "He hopped on my back and we finished the
race."
"All of a sudden the announcers said, 'ladies and gentlemen, turn around and
see what's going on on the course,'" said Ben's mom.
"They were cheering us on," Ben said.
What does this dynamic duo think of their new found fame and attention?
"There's a lot of people, I think, that deserve it more than me," Morgan
said.
"It's kinda neat," Ben said.
