NATS - Walk up
THE FIRST AND ONLY VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE SPARKED A FEW FIREWORKS.
SOT - RYAN:"It's been done a couple of times actually." BIDEN: "It's never
been done." RYAN: "Jack Kennedy lowered tax rates - increased growth." BIDEN
: "Oh so now your Jack Kennedy!"
VICE PRESIDENT - JOE BIDEN - AND REPUBLICAN CHALLENGER - PAUL RYAN -
DELIVERED STARK DIFFERENCES ON DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN POLICY - INCLUDING HOW
TO FIX THE ECONOMY
SOT - RYAN "We're going in the wrong direction! Look at where we are. The
economy is barely limping along."
SOT - BIDEN "It shouldn't be surprising for a guy who says 47% of the
American people are unwilling to take responsibility for their own lives.. They pay more effective tax than Gov. Romney pays in his
federal income tax."
RYAN WENT AFTER PRESIDENT OBAMA FOR HIS RESPONSE TO THE U-S CONSULATE ATTACK
IN LIBYA.
SOT - RYAN "It took the President two weeks to acknowledge it was a
terrorist attack."
WHILE BIDEN CHALLENGED RYAN'S PROPOSED CHANGES TO MEDICARE.
SOT RYAN BIDEN Ryan: "We are not jeopardizing this program we have to save
it. BIDEN: "You are jeopardizing the program you're changing the program
from a guaranteed benefit"
IT WAS A MORE HEATED BACK AND FORTH THAN THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE AND
BIDEN OFTEN *LAUGHED* AT RYAN's ARGUMENTS
SOT "Joe Biden understood tonight that he had to
go back out there and do what President Obama failed to do last week."
WITH THE RACE STILL TIGHT BOTH PRESIDENT OBAMA AND MITT ROMNEY WATCHED
CLOSELY
SOT - Obama "I thought Joe Biden was terrific tonight I couldn't be more
proud of him"
AND IN THE END THEIR RUNNING- MATES EVEN SHARED A FEW LAUGHS.
SOT RYAN: "I think the VP very well knows that sometimes the words don't
come out of your mouth the right way BIDEN: But I always say what I mean."
THE NEXT BIG DEBATE - IS NEXT TUESDAY.
THAT'S WHEN WE'LL SEE PRESIDENT OBAMA AND MITT ROMNEY SQUARE OFF - FOR ROUND
TWO - IN NEW YORK. BRANDI HITT -- ABC NEWS - DANVILLE, KENTUCKY.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Yesterday's official reading at Page Field was 69°. This marked the first time that temperatures dipped into the 60s since the middle of May.
Our hint of Autumn weather will continue once again this morning, as temperatures will be a few points lower. Along the urban corridor, expect a refreshing start to the day as numbers hover in the upper 60s, with a few middle 60s on the thermometer across our inland and northern cool spots.
Friday will dawn bright and sunny with the dry weather pattern prevailing as we round out the work week. Breezes will be out of the northeast between 10-15 mph with higher gusts and that will keep the slightly drier air pouring into Southwest Florida. Highs will eventually warm quickly into the upper 80s, however with lower humidity levels, our afternoon will feel quite comfy.
A few fair weather clouds will dot the sky late in the day, however with a dry and stable atmosphere rain prospects remain slim to none. Mostly clear skies along with lighter winds, will translate into another cool night as overnight lows range from the mid to upper 60s by morning.
A quiet weather pattern will stay in place through the weekend, with a few more clouds pushing in as an easterly flow develops by Sunday. This will bring an influx of some moisture across the Peninsula resulting in the chance for an afternoon stray/isolated shower. Otherwise much of next week, looks mainly dry and warm with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Patty evolved yesterday morning and will be no threat to Southwest Florida. This will be a short lived system as it gets entangled with some drier air and some strong upper level wind shear. Another disturbance nearing the Lesser Antilles seems to be a bit more organized this morning, however most of the forecast models suggest that this will turn to the north and not be a concern for the US mainland.

IF YOU'VE NOTICED MAN'S BEST FRIEND PACKING ON THE POUNDS, YOU'RE NOT ALONE.
"Pets are getting progressively more overweight just like people are."
DR. TONY ISHAK SAYS THE WEIGHT MOST PETS SHOULD BE ISN'T THE WEIGHT MOST PETS ARE.
"You should be able to feel your pet's ribs pretty easily touching their sides. While you shouldn't be able to see them, you should be able to feel them without pushing through a pretty obvious layer of fat and most cats and dogs have a nice tummy tuck where their chest is and it kind of goes up before their back legs."
THE ASSOCIATION FOR THE PREVENTION OF PET OBESITY ESTIMATES 54% OF CATS AND DOGS IN THE U.S. ARE OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE AND IN MANY CASES IT'S THE HUMAN OWNERS WHO ARE INADVERTENTLY TO BLAME.
"People have a perception if I feed my dog more I'm loving them more, and they sit and beg and they're cute and I'll continue to feed them from the table when in fact you're really killing your animal by over-feeding."
EXERCISE FOR PETS, JUST LIKE PEOPLE, IS KEY.
BUT THERE ARE SOME OTHER THINGS OWNERS CAN DO. LIKE LAY OFF THE HUMAN TREATS.
"So they don't necessarily need candy bars, french fries, ice cream, that sort of stuff as their treat. You can get the same interaction and positive reinforcement giving them a carrot or a rice cake or a piece of their own kibble as a treat."
THE REALITY IS FOR FURRY FRIENDS THE SAME RULE APPLIES. PREVENTION IS THE BEST MEDICINE.

Kottkamp: Let me tell you, Jeff, there is not going to be a bottling assembly line like this anywhere in the world.
Lytle: Well, you don't have any bottling line at all right now. Who's going to pay if this thing fails?
Kottkamp: Who's going to pay if it fails? We're going to win; we're going to succeed. We are going to push through this. You know, this isn't the first time that somebody had a project where they got into a dispute with their contractor, and it won't be the last. But that's not going to stop us from pushing forward and making sure that we have an enormously successful venture.
