Another beautiful day is in the works across Southwest Florida with lots of sunshine, highs in the upper 80s, and a refreshing easterly breeze.
Our atmosphere continues to stay stable and dry, so our rain chance will stay incredibly low through our Tuesday as sunshine dominates. Winds will get a little blustery at times as a strong easterly flow remains in place, producing winds from 5-15 mph with gusts up to 25.
As we enjoy another gorgeous and glorious day, though, one thing we continue to watch is Tropical Storms Sandy as it continues to organize quickly in the Caribbean. Sandy is expected to quickly intensify today and Wednesday before the storm moves over Jamaica and Eastern Cuba by midweek. Sandy will then move over the Bahamas Thursday night into Friday, most likely as a Tropical Storm.
The good news for Southwest Florida is computer models are in solid agreement that Sandy will pass some 250-400 miles east of Southwest Florida. Even with Sandy's core staying a safe distance away from us.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS TH
E FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.Another beautiful day is in the works across Southwest Florida with lots of sunshine, highs in the upper 80s, and a refreshing easterly breeze.
