"A weak front brings slight changes for Thursday"

After several days of nice weather across our part of the state, a very weak front will bring some slight changes to our Thursday.

Our morning will start off mostly sunny and comfortable with temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60° along the urban corridor, with a few middle 50s across our inland and northern cool spots.

A weak cold front will sag down the peninsula on Thursday keeping a mix of sun and clouds in the forecast with a slight chance for a few spotty showers during the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will continue to run in the upper 70s to near 80°. While this front, won't bring another dose of colder air, it will reinforce the pleasant weather we've already been seeing.

As we head into Friday and the weekend, dry high pressure will clear things out and provide us with plenty of sunshine to fill our skies, along with a dry weather pattern that will hold across Southwest Florida. Expect temperatures to fall into the upper 50s to low 60s during the mornings with highs in the lower 80s during the afternoons.

By early next week, we'll be tracking another cold front that will bring isolated showers to Southwest Florida followed by another nice refreshing push of Autumn air. Return to index of stories...

ABC'S TAHMAN BRADLEY JOINS US WITH AN ELECTION LOOK AHEAD. Return to index of stories...

CAMPAIGN COUNTDOWN-PKG

The action picks up again with both candidates on the trail.

President Obama visits Wisconsin, Nevada and Colorado for his first events

since Sandy hit.

Republican challenger Mitt Romney will be in Virginia today. He stumped in

Florida on Wednesday and never criticized the President.

SOT Romney

"LOOK, WE CAN'T GO ON THE ROAD WE ARE ON. WE CAN'T CHANGE COURSE IN AMERICA

IF WE KEEP ON ATTACKIGN EACH OTHER. WE HAVE GOT TO COME TOGETHER AND GET

AMERICA ON TRACK AGAIN."

The race is still a dead heat.

The daily ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll shows the candidates

tied among likely voters at 49-percent.

That same poll found Americans rate President Obama's response to the

superstorm positively. 78-percent say Mr. Obama's handling of the situation

is "excellent" or "good."

The President toured storm-ravaged New Jersey with Republican Governor Chris

Christie.

NATS - Obama at NJ shelter

"hang in there"

The Governor, usually one of the President's harshest critics, had nothing

but kind words for him.

SOT Gov. Chris Christie

"HE HAS WORKED INCREDIBLY CLOSELY WITH ME. / AND I CANNOT THANK THE

PRESIDENT ENOUGH FOR HIS PERSONAL CONCERN AND COMPASSION FOR OUR STATE AND

THE PEOPLE OF OUR STATE."

BOTH THE ROMNEY AND OBAMA CAMPAIGNS THINK THEY'RE WINNING. THE OBAMA

CAMPAIGN POINTS TO THE PRESIDENT BEHIND AHEAD OR TIED WITH ROMNEY IN THE

EIGHT CLOSET BATTLEGROUNDS. THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN SAYS THE PRESIDENT IS

PLAYING DEFENSE IN MICHIGAN, PENNSYLVANIA AND MINNESOTA -- DEMOCRATIC TURF.

STORMWARN FORECAST-WX WALL
