A sun and cloud mix will continue across Southwest Florida this Wednesday, and even an isolated shower may develop during the day as the warmth and moisture build up a bit more.
Overall, our rain prospects will stay low enough so that most of us stay dry, but there appears to be just enough moisture and energy to support a couple spotty showers; these, however, should affect less than 20% of the area.
Afternoon temperatures will continue to warm one or two degrees above average with most spots seeing highs in the low to mid 80s. Winds will primarily be out of the east northeast from 5-10 with some gusts up to 15 mph. You may also notice the air becoming slightly more humid today, something we'll keep feeling until the next surge of cool, dry air arrives this weekend.
Our atmosphere becomes a little more stable Thursday, holding our rain chance below 10%. Clouds should also diminish a little more, making way for more sunshine. Look for afternoon highs Thursday to return to the low to mid 80s.
Friday looks to be another warm day with a mix of sun and clouds and relatively low rain chances, but our rain chances will get a little boost come Saturday.
Think of Saturday as a transition day as some cool air begins to settle into Southwest Florida. During this transition day, we'll likely see an increase in cloud cover Saturday morning along with some widely scattered showers. As the clouds begin to fade by Saturday evening, temperatures and humidity levels should begin to drop.
Temperatures Saturday night into Sunday morning should cool into the upper 50s, and daytime highs Sunday will likely stay in the mid to upper 70s. A brisk northerly winds combined with a drop in humidity will make the air nice and refreshing.
The cool spell will linger through the first half of next week with lows settling into the mid to upper 50s and highs comfortably topping out in the mid to upper 70s. Sunshine will also dominate our Southwest Florida through the middle of next week.

CRITICS SAID IT WAS OFFENSIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL.
SO WE WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT.
LOOK AT OUR ABC7 FACEBOOK PAGE.
NYOKA SANDERS WRITES -- "AMERICAN INDIANS SHOULD BE THE ONES TO WEAR THEM.
THEY HAD TO EARN THE FEATHERS THROUGH A BRAVE ACT."
BUT JUAN PABLO WRITES - "SHE LOOKED AWESOME.
MAYBE NEXT TIME SHE CAN WEAR SOMETHING FROM SOUTH AMERICA!"
TURNS OUT --
THE MAJORITY OF OUR FANS THOUGHT THE HEADDRESS WAS BEAUTIFUL.
AND THAT CRITICS WERE TOO SENSITIVE.
THIS MORNING - G-M-A LOOKS INTO THE INCIDENT.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.A sun and cloud mix will continue across Southwest Florida this Wednesday, and even an isolated shower may develop during the day as the warmth and moisture build up a bit more.
