"STAYING WARM THURSDAY, COOLER CHANGES BY THE WEEKEND"
A mix of sun and clouds will close out our Wednesday afternoon with a couple of spotty showers riding the east and northeast breeze across the peninsula. Through the early evening hours, a shower or two is possible as rain prospects will remain near 20%. Any showers that do push into the viewing area should dissipate and fade away just after sunset with mainly dry conditions setting up for tonight.
Overnight, skies will go mostly clear and temperatures will fall back into the lower 60s inland with a middle 60s up and down the urban corridor.
The weak front that has stalled across north-central Florida continues to washout and our Thursday is shaping up to be a bit nicer. A push of some slightly drier air will keep our skies mostly to partly sunny during the day as rain chances will slip to below 20%. Our warm airmass that has been with us over the last several days, will continue to hang around with highs in the lower to middle 80s as we close out the work week.
Some changes are coming down the pike by the weekend, as another cold front pushes its way across the peninsula. This will bring us a few more cloudy periods early Saturday and even a couple of widely scattered showers. This time though, a cooler and drier airmass will make its way into our part of the state as winds become a bit more northerly. This will allow much cooler air to drain down the state resulting in cooler than normal temperatures beginning Sunday morning.
High pressure will dominate our weather early in the week bringing back mostly sunny skies, with temperatures climbing into the middle and upper 70s, while lows settle into the middle and upper 50s through mid week.
