530AM~STORMWARN FORECAST-WXWALL

A canopy of low clouds will make for a pretty cloudy start to our Tuesday morning, but these clouds should begin to break up some by midday and through the afternoon.

While the clouds stick around this morning, temperatures will be quite cool and slow to rise. Temperatures should hover around the mid to upper 50s through the first half of the morning before gradually climbing into the mid to upper 60s by midday.

Once the clouds break up this afternoon and sunshine starts mixing in, we'll start to warm up pretty quickly with daytime highs projected to reach the mid to upper 70s.

We'll keep a few patchy clouds in the forecast tonight, but we shouldn't be nearly as cloudy as last night. Meanwhile, temperatures will be on the cool side yet again as lows drop into the mid to upper 50s.

Wednesday will be another transition day across Southwest Florida as another cool, dry air mass begins to settle in. As this next batch of cool air starts to push our way, some clouds will likely stream overhead, making for a partly cloudy day. A strong northerly wind will also develop through the day with gusts probably getting as high as 20 mph. Overall, Wednesday should be a pretty comfortable day with highs in the mid to upper 70s; just prepare for a breezy day with a few clouds mixing in at times.

Once our reinforcing shot of cool air arrives Wednesday night, the stage will be set for a pretty refreshing and delightful Thanksgiving Day. It will be one of those days when you open the windows and take in the cool fresh air. Daytime temperatures should only reach the mid 70s, and humidity levels will also be very low.

You may want to close the windows Thursday and Friday morning, however, because temperatures will be a little on the chilly side at night and early in the morning. Temperatures on Thanksgiving morning will start out in the low to mid 50s, and temperatures early Friday will be a few notches cooler as many places get down to the low 50s and upper 40s.

Black Friday is look bright and sunny. Daytimes highs will reach the mid 70s, and we won't have to deal with any rain.

The beautiful weather will even carry over into the upcoming weekend. Daytime highs Saturday and Sunday should reach the upper 70s, and for the most part, we'll enjoy sunny, blue skies. Return to index of stories...

DWTS WEEK 9-PKG

SCRIPT:

start wrap here¾

t.v. clip shows shawn johnson and derek hough dancing.

shawn johnson and derek hough got a perfect score for their offbeat number

.the knight rider bhangra.

they returned for 29 more points for their argentine tango.enough to end

the night at the top.

it was not an easy week.

shawn johnson: coming into today, I was more nervous than I think i've

been all season.

derek hough: me, too! ha ha!

derek hough: let's just say this: we choreographed the beginning of

both dances this morning. yep. so it was like right to the wire.

in second place.

melissa rycroft and tony dovolani with 57 and a half points.

they began with a caveman hustle.

and ended with a perfect score an intricate argentine tango, dedicated to a

friend whose funeral they attended on sunday.

melissa rycroft: i think tony and i have done everything we can do. i

think that we've proven, with his choreography, what he's capable of. i

think we've entertained the audience and i am so proud of what we've been

able to produce.

half a point behind them, in third place, apolo anton ohno and karina

smirnoff.

they went from "big top jazz".

to a romantic rumba that earned them triple 10s!

karina smirnoff: I don't want this to end because it's like very week we

are getting stronger, we are getting closer, we find more strength and

continue no matter how tired or exhausted mentally, emotionally and

physically we both are.

emmitt smith and cheryl burke are tied for fourth place.

with 54 points out of 60 for their two dances.

emmitt smith: there's nothing else I can do. I mean, we laid it out on

the line. I think she's done a brilliant job of trying to teach this old

man how to dance.

kelly monaco and val chmekovskiy tied them with their dances.

but val wowed the crowd by stripping down to a speedo for their surfer

flamenco number!

surprise!

kelly monaco: that was the highlight, in my opinion.

kelly monaco: he jumped at the opportunity when I mentioned it. I mean,

he's a very confident guy, so--

val chmerkovskiy: it was super cold in that studio. Return to index of stories...
