THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
After a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday, our spectacular weather will carry over into the weekend.
There will be a chill in the air early this morning as temperatures have dipped near the 50° mark here in town, with upper 40s east of the I-75 corridor. Abundant sunshine will fill our skies early in the day with a gradual warm up into the mid 70s with a light northerly breeze.
Through the afternoon, a cold front will continue to cross the peninsula in a weakened state. It will push through Southwest Florida with very little fanfare as this boundary will remain moisture starved; meaning we'll see a cloud or two dotting our skies with no measurable rain.
Clear skies will prevail through the evening hours with temperatures cooling into the 60s around sunset. As a reinforcing shot of cool and dry air sinks down the state, this will set the stage for another chilly overnight period with thermometer readings near 50° here in town with mid to upper 40s across our inland and northern communities.
Our string of chilly mornings and mild afternoons will continue as dry high pressure keeps a firm grip on our weather. Winds will eventually take more of an easterly turn early in the week, which will promote a gradual warming trend with afternoon highs working their way into the low 80s.
By mid week, we'll be tracking another system across the southern tier of the country, however rain prospects will remain very slim with a slight cool down by Thursday.

THERE ARE NEW DETAILS TODAY IN THE DAVID PETRAEUS--PAULA BROADWELL SCANDAL.
BARBARA STARR HAS THE LATEST ON THE F-B-I INVESTIGATION INTO WHETHER BROADWELL WAS GIVEN CLASSIFIED MILITARY MATERIAL SHE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO SEE.
Return to index of stories...
INSIDE DAVID PETRAEUS' COMMAND CENTER IN AFGHANISTAN-- THE BRIEFINGS REGULARLY INCLUDED CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. DID SOME OF THAT INFORMATION MAKE ITS WAY TO PAULA BROADWELL, HIS BIOGRAPHER AT THE TIME?
"She would have received material from a number of sources, a number of individuals."
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS CONFIRM TO CNN CONTRIBUTOR TOM FUENTES THAT INVESTIGATORS ARE LOOKING AT WHETHER BROADWELL-- WHO LATER HAD AN ADULTEROUS AFFAIR WITH PETRAEUS-- WAS GIVEN CLASSIFIED MATERIAL BY PETRAEUS AIDES BECAUSE THEY MAY HAVE THOUGHT PETRAEUS WANTED HER TO HAVE IT, AS SHE WAS IN AFGHANISTAN GATHERING MATERIAL FOR HER BOOK 'ALL IN,' A BIOGRAPHY ON THE FOUR-STAR. THE WASHINGTON POST HAD FIRST REPORTED THE DETAILS ABOUT THE PETRAEUS AIDES. PETRAEUS HAS AUTHORIZED FORMER AIDES AND FRIENDS TO TELL REPORTERS HE PERSONALLY NEVER GAVE BROADWELL CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. GOVERNMENT SOURCES HAVE TOLD CNN BROADWELL HAD MATERIAL SUCH AS POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS AND SCHEDULES. BUT FUENTES SAYS WHILE BROADWELL WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER RESEARCH MATERIAL FROM A LOT OF SOURCES, BE CAREFUL ABOUT JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS.
"To say that -- the implication that the FBI is looking at someone makes it sound like they're the subject of a criminal investigation. And right now that part of it is still in the 'let's determine how this material was provided, who gave it and under what circumstances.'"
EVEN IF THE INFORMATION THE FBI REMOVED FROM BROADWELL'S HOME WAS NOT A RISK TO NATIONAL SECURITY, SHE AND WHOEVER GAVE IT TO HER WILL HAVE PLENTY TO ANSWER FOR.
"The military and the rest of the intelligence community agencies don't want every individual on their own to be able to determine what's sensitive and what isn't."
