With no cold fronts headed toward Southwest Florida this week, the warmer than normal weather will be here to stay for a while.
Daytime highs today will be a few notches above average with most places warming up into the low to mid 80s this afternoon.
Moisture will be very limited, so rain chances will be slim at best. Our sky will stay mostly sunny through the day with some clouds mixing in with the sunshine during the afternoon.
Like the last few days, winds will be pretty swift out of the east from 5-15 mph with the occasional gust up to 20 mph. Winds should begin to relax a little by Tuesday, so conditions won't be quite as breezy starting tomorrow.
As we head through this evening and tonight, look for a mostly clear sky conditions with the exception of some light patchy fog early Tuesday morning.
The forecast through the remainder of the week will essentially be on cruise control. Daytime highs will be close to 80°, and overnight temps will cool to near 60°. Skies will stay mostly sunny to partly cloudy as our rain chance remains quite low.

PKG SCRIPT:
Fiscal Cliff talks have hit a stalemate.
With only 29 days to go, Republicans and Democrats remain far apart.
And over the weekend, there was worry negotiations might actually fail.
SOT Sen. Lindsey Graham
"I THINK WE'RE GOING OVER THE CLIFF. IT'S PRETTY CLEAR TO ME THEY'VE MADE A
POLITICAL CALCULATION."
President Obama and his team are demanding that Congress allow Bush-era tax
cuts for the wealthiest two-percent of Americans to expire.
SOT Secretary Geithner
"THERE IS NO RESPONSIBLE WAY WE CAN GOVERN THIS COUNTRY / WITH THOSE LOW
RATES IN PLACE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. THOSE RATES ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GO
UP."
But Republicans have drawn a line in the sand on raising tax rates, instead
signaling they're open to raising revenue by reforming the tax code and
limiting deductions for the wealthy.
It's a major sticking point -- holding up a deal.
SOT Speaker Boehner
"RIGHT NOW, I'D SAY WE'RE NOWHERE. PERIOD. WE'RE NOWHERE."
President Obama's asking for one-point-six Trillion dollars in new tax
revenue over ten years. Speaker Boehner is offering half that.
The president is offering 600-billion dollars in cuts to Medicare and other
programs.
The speaker says that's not enough. Although he hasn't outlined what he
thinks should be cut.
If they can't avoid the fiscal cliff, it means on January first nearly
every American will pay more income tax -- between two-thousand and 24-
hundred dollars for the average family.
The two-percent cut in payroll taxes Americans have enjoyed -- that
will disappear.
500-billion in automatic spending cuts will go into effect. Half at
the Pentagon, the other half coming from education, transportation, food
safety and research.
Economists fear if Washington can't strike a deal, the economy will fall
back into recession and unemployment will shoot up.
Tahman Bradley, ABC News, Washington.
