We're on track to see another mostly sunny, warm day across Southwest Florida with pretty slim rain chances once again.
We'll start the day with a few patchy clouds, but sunshine will prevail as we go through the morning and afternoon. Our temperatures will still run a few degrees above average with highs aimed at the low 80s inland and upper 70s along the coast.
A warm breeze out of the east will keep winds up to 5-15 mph during the day, but winds won't be quite as gust as in previous days.
There's very limited moisture around Southwest Florida today, but we may see just enough to support a one or two stray showers. Aside from a couple lonely sprinkles, though, we'll stay mostly dry today.
Our rain chances are now looking slightly more promising by midweek as a result of a disturbance that's appearing a little bit stronger. This system should swing across Southwest Florida late Wednesday into Thursday morning, and as it does so, we may see some widely scattered showers Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. Don't get too excited about our rain prospects, however, as these showers should stay pretty isolated and "hit or miss."
The main side effect we'll notice from this system will be an increase in cloud cover from Wednesday afternoon through the first part of Thursday.
Once the disturbance exits Thursday afternoon, we'll get back to seeing mostly sunny and dry weather with daytime highs close to 80 and overnight temperatures dipping down to 60.
The upcoming weekend is looking very nice with partly cloudy skies and warmer than normal temperatures. We've seen some indications Saturday and Sunday might offer up a few more showers, so we'll continue monitoring this possibility over the next couple days.
In the meantime, there's no indication we'll be getting a cold front in the near future, so enjoy the warmer weather while it's here!

PKG SCRIPT:
Congressional Republicans' counter proposal was dead on arrival.
The White House quickly rejected the two-point-two Trillion dollar
deficit reduction plan that would raise 800-billion dollars in tax revenue
over the next decade.
But the plan calls for raising the revenue WITHOUT raising tax rates on top
income earners. Something the White House views as unacceptable.
During a photo opp, President Obama avoided questions about the GOP plan.
SOT Reporter: "THERE IS NO DEAL BETTER THAN A BAD DEAL, SIR?"
SOT Obama: "THANK YOU, EVERYBODY."
A senior White House official called the proposal a step backwards,
saying if Republicans do not agree to some higher tax rates for the wealthy,
the nation WILL go over the fiscal cliff and the American people will hold
them responsible.
Democrats also take issue with the proposal's spending cuts to Medicare and
Social Security.
Republicans counter that tough cuts are needed to address the nation's
soaring debt.
Leaving Washington locked in a stalemate less than a month before every
American sees their taxes shoot up.
The gridlock has irritated people outside Washington, like Deborah Page of
Arlington, Texas.
SOT Deborah Page
"IF I WAS WORKING THE WAY CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT ARE WORKING, I WOULD
PROBABLY LOSE MY JOB."
Page started a petition that would cease paychecks and health benefits for
all members of Congress and President Obama if they can't avoid the fiscal
cliff.
Page's chances are very unlikely, but a reflection of Americans' frustration
with just 28 days left to go.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.We're on track to see another mostly sunny, warm day across Southwest Florida with pretty slim rain chances once again.
