A weak cold front is pushing through the Southeast. It initiated some strong storms from Louisiana to Georgia yesterday, and its eyes are set on us. This is the first of two fronts that will bring us rain.
It'll start migrating across North Florida tonight, and it'll reach us Tuesday morning. Ahead of the front we'll see the clouds increase. Those same clouds will stick with us on Tuesday, and yes, they will bear rain at times. Not widespread activity, the showers will be widely scattered at best. Just be sure to leave home with some sort of rain gear Tuesday.
Better safe than sorry, right?
We'll experience clear skies and a slight breeze behind this front. Temperatures will be in the 50s Wednesday morning, and then back to the 60s Thursday morning. Our daytime highs won't be affected by the front. We'll continue to see them hover around 80 degrees.
Friday is when cold front number two sweeps across Southwest Florida. This front will be very robust, and it'll for sure spark widespread showers early in the day. Sunny skies will follow in the front's wake, but that's not the big story with the front.
The big story is the temperatures it'll bring with it.
The front has an arctic origin. No, it won't be the coldest air we've seen by the time it arrives, but it will definitely be chilly. Morning lows will plummet to the 40s and daytime highs will struggle to get past 70.
