SLIGHT COOL DOWN ON THE WAY
Over the past few days, the clouds have definitely won out over the sunshine, but that is all going to change as a swift moving cold front pushes over the area tonight.
So yes changes are looming for us. The cold front will traverse Southwest Florida and sweep away the clouds and humidity. Anticipate on cooler and drier air filtering down the peninsula during the afternoon. This will lead to a partly sunny day with temperatures in the mid 70s after starting off in the mid 50s.
A chilly dome of high pressure will build over Florida in the front's wake. It will push its way down the plains states and keep our skies mostly sunny with comfortable humidity levels through Thursday. We'll even have to break out the sweaters and jackets Wednesday and Thursday morning with lows dipping into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Temperatures will continue to run in the 50s in the morning, but a gradual warming trend is expected from Thursday in the weekend. Highs will creep back into the upper 70s.
Another cold front is scheduled to pass through our part of the state early Saturday. It'll be a dry front meaning no showers are expected with it. In fact we're not forecasting any rain for the rest of the month!
I'm forecasting another cool down for you with our next front, too. It may get a little chilly with temperatures getting down into the lower 40s during the morning hours of Sunday, and they'll struggle to get pass 75 during the afternoon.

IT'S THE KIND OF FOOD WE GRAB BECAUSE IT'S QUICK AND FRANKLY, KIDS ASK FOR IT.
NOW A NEW STUDY OF MORE THAN 500,000 KIDS IN OVER 50 COUNTRIES LINKS FAST FOOD TO SEVERE ASTHMA, HAY FEVER AND ECZEMA.
"It is an enormous survey it is quite impressive and consistent with other surveys that have been done in the past several years."
PUBLISHED IN THE JOURNAL THORAX, THE STUDY SAID KIDS WHO EAT FAST FOOD THREE TIMES OR MORE A WEEK HAD APPROXIMATELY 30% INCREASED RISK IN DISEASE SEVERITY.
DR. JOHN SWEET IS AN ALLERGIST.
"It was interesting that they found the same effects over many different countries."
"It's important to make clear that this study does not say that fast food causes asthma, eczema or hay fever. It does suggest that it may make the severity of these conditions worse."
"Asthma, eczema and hay fever are all results of the body's immune system over reacting to things it should ignore."
ON THE FLIP SIDE, RESEARCHERS FOUND A REDUCTION IN SEVERITY FOR KIDS WHO ATE FRUIT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK. DR. SWEET SAYS THAT'S BECAUSE FRUIT AND VEGETABLES ARE FULL OF ANTI-OXIDANTS.
"Its believed a decreased consumption of these anti-oxidants can affect the airway in some way though its not clearly understood at this time."
AND HE SAYS WHEN KIDS FILL UP WITH FAST FOOD, THEY DON'T EAT AS MUCH OF THE FRUIT AND VEGGIES WHICH COULD BE MAKING THEM FEEL BETTER.

SHE SAYS HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH YOUR CHILD THE WAY YOU'D TELL THEM ABOUT THE BIRDS AND BEES.
.WITH AN EMPHASIS THAT. ONLINE. YOU NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS EITHER.
PLUS, THIS CAN ALSO BE A REALITY CHECK FOR PARENTS, TOO.
"So i actually went online and did a bunch of research and there is a phone book of texting acroynyms that you can print out."
TEXTING ACROYNYMS OR CODE YOUR CHILD MAY BE USING.THAT THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO CRACK.

"I'm in charge of the weapons system- a joy for me"
And it's no easy ride for this member of the British Royal family.
NATS??
During his four month grueling tour in Afghanistan, fighting the war on
terror on the frontlines, it is this role Harry loves the most.
SOT Prince Harry
"When you fire/the whole floor vibrates and when you fire a missile the
whole aircraft shudders a bit."
Harry is the co-pilot gunner, firing an arsenal of weapons from the front
seat.
SOT Prince Harry
"The Apache is being used much more widely as a deterrent because the guys
recognize the sound and shape of the aircraft, when I say guys I mean the
insurgents."
While away, Harry celebrated his 28th birthday. He got a wakeup call when
15 Taliban fighters dressed in US army uniforms attacked his base, killing
two U.S. Marines.
SOT Prince Harry
"Obviously the papers back home were ooh this is all against me. No one
really knows/The guys dealt with it really well and it was on my birthday
so it was a bit of a reality check."
Now that the Prince is out of harm's way and safely out of Afghanistan, this
soldier will be hanging up his boots for some well earned r and r before
hitting the charity circuit.
SOT Prince Harry
"I've got the Walking with the wounded South Pole venture coming up.
Medically if I can do that that's perfect because I'd love to do it."
AND THEN IT'S BACK TO ARMY DUTY FOR THIS SOLDIER PRINCE.
