IT'S TOO LATE FOR SANTA --
INSTEAD, THEY FOUND A NAKED MAN!
A-B-C SEVEN'S MEAGHAN SMITH WALKS US THROUGH THEIR *EVENTFUL EVENING.
Return to index of stories...
TO SAY IT WAS AN EVENTFUL NIGHT AT THIS NORTH FORT MYERS HOUSE-
IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.
3:14 "that's crazy is right. i don't even comprehend it. it's nuts."
JUST BEFORE 7 O-CLOCK
THE FAMILY INSIDE THE OLD BAYSHORE ROAD HOME HEARD A NOISE ON THE ROOF.
WHEN THE HUSBAND WENT OUTSIDE TO CHECK IT OUT-
A BURGLAR POUNCED FROM ABOVE.
he dropped of my roof and run right into my house.
HE WASN'T DRESSED IN ALL BLACK,
LIKE MOST.
INSTEAD- THIS SUSPECT WAS SPORTING HIS BIRTHDAY SUIT.
:44 "i don't know who the hell he is- he's naked and he's running in my damn house."
THE FAMILY DIDN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT THEIR HORRIFYING ORDEAL,
BUT TOLD LEE COUNTY DEPUTIES AFTER THE BARE-ALL BURGLAR JUMPED FROM THE ROOF-
HE RAN INTO THE HOUSE AND GRABBED A TV.
:20 "he's laying in my floor. he run in my ******* house naked hooting and hollering and tearing **** up."
IN FEAR FOR THEIR LIVES-
THE HUSBAND YELLED AT HIS WIFE TO GET A GUN.
DETECTIVES SAY SHE FIRED 3 SHOTS, BUT MISSED.
SO, HER HUSBAND HELD HIM AT GUNPOINT WHILE CALLING 911.
:28 "lay down, mother ******, lay down."
BEFORE COPS GOT THERE-
THE FAMILY TOLD THEM THE NAKED BURGLAR BEGAN MASTURBATING ON THE FLOOR.
DETECTIVES IDENTIFIED HIM AS 21 YEAR-OLD GREGORY BRUNI.
"deputies arrived at the home and arrested bruni. now- they didn't take him straight to jail but instead here to the hospital- they say because of his mental state."
AND HE'S STILL THERE, WHICH IS WHY
THERE'S NO MUG SHOT OF HIM, YET.
DETECTIVES REPORT THAT BRUNI IS A TRAVELING CARNIVAL WORKER,
AND WAS BELIEVED TO BE DELIVERING RIDES TO THE LEE CIVIC CENTER FOR AN UPCOMING FAIR.
WHILE THE FAMILY RECOVERS FROM THEIR WILD NIGHT-
NEIGHBORS ARE RELIEVED THEY DIDN'T SEE THE SAME SIGHT.
1:41 "well- i'm pretty glad, i mean of course obviously, yeah. i don't want that kind of excitement."

THE LEE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD IS CONSIDERING BUILDING AN EMPLOYEE CLINIC.
THE CLINIC WOULD GIVE STAFF MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES A CONVENIENT PLACE TO GET MEDICAL TREATMENT AND PREVENTATIVE CARE.
THE BIGGEST CONCERN IS HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST.
THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS ONE OF THE COUNTY'S BIGGEST EMPLOYERS WITH MORE THAN 11-THOUSAND ACTIVE EMPLOYEES, RETIREES, AND DEPENDENTS.
BUT THE DISTRICT THINKS THEY COULD SAVE AS MUCH AS THREE-POINT-EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS IN HEALTH CARE COSTS OVER FIVE YEARS.
THAT'S BECAUSE OF MONEY SAVED BY *NOT GOING TO A DOCTOR"S OFFICE.

3 44 46. 3 44 58 There would be scheduling that would enable visits to last 20 to 25 minutes. So you'd be providing more of an opportunity for that individual to talk to communicate with their physician.
THE DISTRICT WOULD PUT THE CLINIC AT THEIR HEADQUARTERS ON COLONIAL BOULEVARD.
THE TOTAL START-UP COST INCLUDING RENOVATION AND SALARIES IS ONE-MILLION DOLLARS.

High clouds most of the day kept us from reaching the mid 70's this afternoon. A northerly breeze tonight will help drop our temperatures this evening to the lower 50's. Some readings in the upper 40's will be on the inland thermometers by tomorrow morning. The high clouds and overcast skies should give way to a mostly sunny day tomorrow bringing our daytime highs back to the mid 70's on Wednesday. In fact, the overall weather picture looks mostly sunny for the next few days. Highs will be just shy of 80 degrees and overnight lows will continue to be in the cool 50's; however, with the clear weather at night there could be many places still dipping in the mid to upper 40's once again on Thursday morning.
The forecast weather maps show a weak front passing to the north of our area on Saturday and mainly dry and comfortable weather remains in place this weekend. The long-range outlook shows me a bit of a warm-up next week and it seems reasonable to forecast some 80 degree weather coming back by next Monday. Rain showers stay out of the picture for the next several days.
