The blanket of clouds we had around for most of our Tuesday will gradually start to diminish this morning, eventually giving way to a lot more sunshine for our Wednesday.
We'll likely see some of those thin wispy clouds around early on today, but look for increasing sunshine as the day progresses.
Temperatures are starting noticeably cooler this morning with readings as low as the 40s northward and deeper inland, and even with the added sunshine today, daytime highs should only warm into the mid 70s.
Winds will be a little on the breezy side through the day, which will make the air feel cooler at times-especially during the morning.
Something else you'll likely notice is how dry the air feels, and with such low humidity levels in place, rain is not in our forecast.
Tonight will likely be the coolest night of the week as temperatures drop into the upper 40s across urban Southwest Florida and down to the low 40s and upper 30s in some of the inland cold spots.
By Thursday and Friday, temperatures will be on the upward trend as we warm to the mid to upper 70s. Our sky should stay mostly sunny for the next several days, so cloud cover shouldn't be an issue all the way through the upcoming weekend.
The weekend is actually shaping up to be quite nice with highs close to 80 along with comfortable humidity. A weak cool front will attempt to push through late Saturday into Sunday, but some of the long-range forecast models now indicate this front will do very little to cool us off.
Daytime highs should still be close to 80 by early next week, and we may see a little more cloud cover by Monday as our wind flow comes in from the Atlantic.

SANDY SILVERS AND MARCIA FIELD WALK AROUND THE USED CAR LOT LOOKING FOR A DEAL.
THEY FOUND A 2011 HONDA THAT MAY DO THE TRICK. BUT IT'S NOT JUST THE CAR THAT CAUGHT THEIR ATTENTION. IT'S ALSO THE INTEREST RATE.
"Well it brings down the cost on the monthly payment, it's just as simple as that."
TODAY, SHOPPERS WITH GOOD CREDIT ARE FINDING FINANCING FOR USED CARS UNDER 4 PERCENT, NEW CARS FOR LESS THAN 2 PERCENT. THAT WAS UNHEARD OF A FEW YEARS AGO'S AT MANY CAR LOTS AND CREDIT UNIONS. SO DO LOW INTEREST RATES BRING OUT MORE SHOPPERS?
"I mean they're not the deciding factor, I mean the car itself I think is the deciding factor. I mean when we had 7 and 8 and 9 percent loans we were selling cars too. but i mean it's just an added incentive which brings more people out."
J-P BO SAYS THESE ARE SOME OF THE LOWEST RATES HE'S SEEN IN HIS 31 YEARS ON THE CAR LOT. IT EVEN ENCOURAGES SOME BUYERS TO UPGRADE A BIT.
"When you were paying 7 or 8 percent interest you might look for a less expensive car. Now you're paying 1 point 9, as a reward for your good credit, you can get more car."
"Not only are these low rates getting people to the car lot, but if you want to keep your payments down, you can extend your loan even longer."
"To keep your payments lower you'll do the 7 years loan , it's available where it never used to be."
BUT EXTENDING YOUR LOAN THAT LONG CAN BE PROBLEM FOR SOME DRIVERS, ESPECIALLY IF THE CAR PLUMMITS IN VALUE WHILE THE OWNER IS STILL MAKING THOSE PAYMENTS.

ABC'S PIERRE THOMAS REPORTS ON THIS TANGLED CASE.
Return to index of stories...
For years---General John Allen had a pristine reputation -- that is--- UNTIL
the FALLOUT--- over the CIA DIRECTOR sex scandal in November THREATENED to
MAKE ALLEN's career COLLATERAL DAMAGE.
NATS ALLEN TALKING
The allegation: that Allen had been allegedly exchanging inappropriate
emails with Jill Kelley, the Tampa socialite who had been harrassed by--
Paula Broadwell--- the woman who had an affair with Petreaus.
Suddenly the story had growing NATIONAL SECURITY IMPLICATIONS and Allen's
career was in JEOPARDY. He had just been nominated to be NATO SUPREME
ALLIED COMMANDER in EUROPE.
LITTLE SOT: the Secretary has asked the President, and the President has
agreed, to put his nomination on hold.
But Allen maintained he had done nothing wrong and the administration urged
caution.
CARNEY SOT: I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE PRESIDENT THINKS VERY HIGHLY OF GENERAL
ALLEN AND HIS SERVICE TO HIS COUNTRY.
PANETTA SOT: No one should leap to any conclusions here
That assessment was apparently wise. The PENTAGON LAST NIGHT issued a
statement that Allen has been cleared by a military Inspector General.
Allen's nomination could be back on track soon.
As for Jill Kelley, in new op-ed published in the Washington Post, she and
her husband call suggestions of an affair with ALLEN "painful." and ".
preposterous."
Kelley said that and other misleading "junk reporting" has been "emotionally
exhausting and damaging" to her family.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
