THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
We kicked off the month of February on a cold note, but it was a beautiful way to end the week. Lots of sunshine and below normal temperatures. If you weren't able to get out and enjoy the weather yesterday, no worries as we're in store for a pretty nice weekend.
You'll want to bundle up once again early this morning as temperatures are ranging from the upper 30s across our far northern areas to the upper 40s right here in town. Aside from just a couple of clouds late in the day, bright sunshine will fill our skies from start to finish and this will help to melt that winter chill as afternoon highs rebound into the lower to middle 70s.
As the sun sets below the horizon, it will be a beautiful evening with clear skies and comfortable readings in the lower 60s. Overnight, expect temperatures to be not quite as cold as they settle into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
High pressure will remain in control of our weather for the second half of the weekend with not much change to our pattern. In fact on Sunday, we'll see a reinforcing push of cool and dry air, which will keep our pleasant weather locked in place through early next week. Mostly sunny skies will dominate with chilly mornings, mild afternoons and comfortable humidity levels.
By Tuesday, a warming trend will begin to kick in with afternoon highs climbing back into the middle to upper 70s. The 80s look to be back in the forecast by the end of next week.

AMERICANS WILL CONSUME ABOUT ONE AND A QUARTER BILLION WINGS THIS SUPER BOWL WEEKEND… DOWN MORE THAN 12 MILLION FROM A YEAR AGO.
THE RESULT OF FEWER CHICKENS RAISED BECAUSE OF LAST YEAR'S DROUGHT.
"The big thing is feed costs went up this year and so when you get the higher temperatures combined with increased feed costs you're not going to have as many chickens produced"
FRANKIE'S SPORTS BAR EXPECTS TO SELL ABOUT 15 THOUSAND WINGS…
"Having a large supplier, consistent quality, consistent pricing it makes it easy for me"
BUT WITH FEWER CHICKENS TO GO AROUND… WINGS COULD BE HARD TO FIND IN SOME PLACES… OR AT THE VERY LEAST, MORE EXPENSIVE.
"If you're a smaller store or dealing with a smaller supplier and you're trying to piecemeal stuff together they're going to be last in the pecking order. You know, its like the big dogs eating at the bowl. The big dogs are going to get their food and the little dogs aren't going to get, they're going to get the leftovers."

The

NEWLY PROPOSED GUIDELINES WOULD LET ORGANIZATIONS OPT OUT OF A FEDERAL MANDATE REGARDING BIRTH CONTROL.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS SAY PROPOSED NEW GUIDELINES WOULD ENSURE WOMEN GET CONTRACEPTION FOR FREE, AND NO OBJECTING RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT -- A SEEMINGLY PERFECT COMPROMISE.
"We had to ensure that women had access to preventive services like contraception and that the policy also respects religious beliefs "
THE POLICY WOULD ALLOW A SELF-INSURED RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION, LIKE A CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY, TO OPT OUT OF PROVIDING BIRTH CONTROL.
ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD GIVE EMPLOYEES BIRTH CONTROL FOR FREE.
"This just clarifies that there aren't going to be some women who get this benefit and some women who don't. All women in America, through their insurance coverage, are going to have access to birth control without a co-pay, no matter where they work or where they live."
NOT EVERYONE SEES THIS AS A WIN-WIN.
"It leaves an awful lot of the conscience and moral objection concerns and coverage. The private sector doesn't gain protections."
THE U.S. CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC BISHOPS IS RESERVING JUDGMENT WHILE IT STUDIES THE 80-PAGE GUIDELINES, BUT IN STATEMENTS, THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EVANGELICALS RIPPED THE POLICY AS ".BAD NEWS FOR ALL WHO LOVE RELIGIOUS FREEDOM," SAYING, "THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION SHOULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING AND DROPPED THE CONTRACEPTION MANDATE."
.AND THE FAMILY VALUES ORGANIZATION, CONCERNED WOMEN FOR AMERICA, SLAMMED IT AS A "BLATANT ATTEMPT TO MISLEAD. ANDTRAMPLE THE RELIGIOUS LIBERTIES OF AMERICANS."
THIS IS THE SECOND ATTEMPT TO CLEAN UP THE ORIGINAL POLICY, SINCE IT IGNITED A FIRESTORM, ALMOST A YEAR AGO.
"Religious liberty will be protected, and a law that requires free preventive care will not discriminate against women."
