After a chilly start to the work week, temperatures have been on the climb over the last couple of days. We'll continue to keep a warmer than normal pattern through the end of the week before a slight cool down arrives just in time for the weekend.
After a mild start this morning, plan on another warm and partly sunny day across the area with mainly dry conditions. A southeasterly breeze will continue to keep our afternoons a bit warmer with highs in the lower 80s, while the coastal areas remain cooler due to a nice gulf breeze with temperatures cooling into the upper 70s.
Tonight, temperatures won't be quite as cool as they settle into the middle 60s with increasing clouds.

he's only 16 years-old-
yet an accused robber,
who was shot at by lee county deputies after that say he didn't drop his gun during a violent hold-up at wendy's
40:44 "he was here when i went to bed last night."
kristian foster-
lives less than a mile away from the crime scene with his grandmother.
40:48 "i'm just devastated right now- i can't handle anymore of it."
this is the 3rd robbery in this area in the past week.
from dominos to dunkin donuts- to right across the street at wendy's-
that one led to a shooting involving deputies
Nat
about 1:30 in the morning-
wendy's employees were cleaning up outside after closing
the restaurant at 1.
detectives say foster and his accomplice-
both armed with guns, made their move-
pistoling whipped an employee, who they forced
inside.
the other workers were left out back.
someone pulled into the parking lot to pick up an employee and apparently witnessed the robbery.
deputies say
us that person ordered foster and his accomplice to stop, but instead
they say foster came up to his car while he was on the phone with 911
and banged on the window with a gun-
foster reportedly later fired at the
man as he was speeding away.
that's when lee county deputies got there. the sheriff's office says a deputy ordered
foster to drop his gun and he didn't.
in fear for himself and the victims inside- the deputy fired but missed.
then foster apparently ran to the other side of wendy's while still
armed- deputies fired again.
at that point- foster dropped gun and was arrested.
42:33 "do you know where he got the gun? no did you know that he had a gun. no"
deputies say it was stolen.
they're still searching for the other suspected robber-
who is still on the run.
as for foster-
this isn't his first run-in with cops,
but it could have been his last.

A storm system moving across the northern gulf states, will eventually send a weak cool front our way. This front will approach the area on Friday morning with an increase in cloud cover and the threat for just a few isolated showers. Once the front clears the peninsula during the day, skies will clear and this will set the stage for a pleasant weekend across Southwest Florida.
A cooler and drier airmass will make its way down the state, cooling our overnight lows into the middle and upper 50s by Sunday morning. It won't have much of an impact on our afternoon temperatures as they will continue to warm into the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine with lower humidity values.
