Morning clouds give way to afternoon sun"
While the Northeast and New England states are bracing for a blizzard, we'll be basking in 80° weather despite the passage of a weak cold front.
Our morning will start off with mild temperatures in the 60s, along with just a couple of spotty showers mainly across our southern areas. These showers moving in are associated with a weak cold front currently sweeping across the peninsula. As we go through the day, a couple of lingering showers will still be possible across our far southern communities, while skies continue to clear from north to south. Afternoon highs will manage to climb into the upper 70s to low 80s with a bit more sunshine as we head into the second half of the day.
Once the front clears Southwest Florida, a slightly cooler and drier airmass will begin to filter down the state. You'll notice the change early Saturday morning as lows will have bottomed out in the upper 50s here in town with lower to middle 50s across our inland and northern cool spots.
High pressure will be building in for the weekend and this will set the stage for a beautiful Saturday under mostly sunny skies. Even though temperatures will recover into the 80s, our afternoons will feel quite pleasant with comfortable humidity values. Our mainly dry weather pattern will stay firmly in place through the first half of the week with plenty of sunshine and highs in the lower to middle 80s.
By Wednesday, we'll be tracking another cold front moving across the "Sunshine State" with the potential for another round of rain and a cool down by the end of next week.

VALENTINES DAY IS AROUND THE CORNER.
YOU MIGHT HAVE SOMEONE SPECIAL.

WELL, WE HAVE SOME DIGITAL DO'S *AND DON'TS.

KARIN CAIFA EXPLAINS.
Return to index of stories...
THANKS TO SOCIAL MEDIA THE DETAILS OF BUDDING RELATIONSHIPS CAN QUICKLY BE AMPLIFIED THROUGH AN ENTIRE LIST OF CONNECTIONS, AND THAT CAN REALLY SQUASH A SPARK.
ONLINE ETIQUETTE EXPERT JULIE SPIRA SAYS WITH COURTSHIP GETTING DIGITAL, IT'S CREATED A NEW LIST OF DO'S AND DON'T'S. LIKE ON A FIRST DATE, DO PUT THAT SMARTPHONE DOWN.
It sends a bad message to your date, that maybe there's someone more important than the person sitting across the table from you.
DON'T POST ALL OF THOSE EARLY DATE DETAILS ON TWITTER OR FACEBOOK.
In the early stages of a relationship, share very little about what's going on with your new beau. The reason is, you're dating people, he's dating people, we don't know how many people each other is dating until you've become exclusive and of course had that talk.
FOR THOSE IN A RELATIONSHIP ON VALENTINE'S DAY, DON'T LOSE FRIENDS AND FOLLOWERS BY OVERSHARING.
If you're posting every hour your play-by-play about your romantic rendezvous -- arriving at the hotel, seeing the flowers in the room, going to dinner, sipping champagne -- you know, it tends to be a little too much.
AND DO KEEP IN MIND WHO MIGHT BE ON YOUR SWEETHEART'S LIST OF FACEBOOK FRIENDS -- CO-WORKERS, A BOSS, FAMILY MEMBERS, EVEN PARENTS. THOSE WALL POSTS YOU THINK ARE SWEET COULD BE DOWNRIGHT EMBARASSING TO YOUR VALENTINE.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

D'Antuono: Well, it's an invasive species. And there are no natural predators out there, and they just eat, and eat, and eat, and eat. They can lay 30,000 eggs every four days, and nothing eats their eggs, so it's just mass destruction. When they start getting on the reef, they expand and grow, and nothing is stopping them except for spear fishermen.
