HELLO-1SHOT PUSH

GOOD MORNING SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.

TODAY IS SUNDAY FEBRAURY 10TH.

I'M JOE ROETZ.

WE BEGIN WITH YOUR WEEKEND WEATHER - METEOROLOGIST KIRA MINER IS HERE TO HELP YOU PLAN OUT YOUR DAY.

KIRA GOOD MORNING. Return to index of stories...

FIRST WEATHER-WX CTR

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

We have a few more days of nice weather across Southwest Florida before we'll be tracking some changes by the middle of the week. Some of these changes include rain and slightly cooler temperatures after a string of 80° + readings.

It will be another cool morning across the area as we get our Sunday started with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s in town. A few numbers in the middle 50s will be found across our interior sections and northern communities. Patchy fog will certainly be a possibility again around sunrise, however just like yesterday it shouldn't last too long as temperatures will begin to warm up pretty quickly.

With high pressure still in control of our pattern, we're in store for another afternoon complete with just a few fair weather cumulus clouds and highs in the lower to middle 80s. As winds turn from the east to southeast, that will continue to pump in more warmth and humidity over the next few days.

Expect a milder night with temperatures settling into the lower 60s with just a few passing clouds from time to time and some patchy fog forming by tomorrow morning.

The start of our week will be dry, but a bit on the warm side as afternoon highs push the middle 80s in some locations. By Wednesday we'll be tracking higher rain chances as a cold front slides in across the northern portion of the peninsula and sticks around our part of the state for a couple of days. This will keep more clouds around and a good chance for scattered showers Wednesday through Friday. A dip in the temperatures will also be likely as afternoon highs cool into the lower to middle 70s with lows in the 50s by the end of the week. Return to index of stories...

MAIN WEATHER-WXWALL

VALENTINES FREE DIVORCE-VOP-POP

VALENTINES FREE DIVORCE-PKG

"A totally free uncontested divorce."

AT SOUTHFIELD'S THE FLOWER LOFT FLORISTS, THEY'RE ALREADY CUTTING AND BUILDING THEIR VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL. HALF A DOZEN ROSES WITH A TEDDY BEAR AND CHOCOLATES.

BARB CUMMINGS ASKS THE OBVIOUS QUESTION:

"It's terrible. Who would offer a free divorce for Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is for love not sorrow!"

THE ANSWER IS LAWYER WALTER BENTLEY THE THIRD OF SOUTHFIELD WHO IS ALSO A LAW PROFESSOR.

HIS EYEBROW RAISING IDEA CAME FROM A STUDENT'S VERY DIFFERENT TAKE ON LOVE.

"So she was having a divorce party to celebrate her divorce and I thought about Valentine's Day and said hey why not help someone move on to that independence on Valentine's Day?"

IN REALITY THIS IS A CONTEST AND HE'S INVITING ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE THAT FREE VALENTINE'S DIVORCE TO WRITE HIM A QUICK NOTE TELLING HIM THE CIRCUMSTANCES. AND YES HE'S ALREADY HAD SEVERAL DOZEN TAKERS WITH STORIES LIKE:

"They're basically separated from their spouse but they're living in the house together and it's a very contentious house because no one has the money to move forward."

THE DIVORCE WOULD NORMALLY COST ROUGHLY 3000-DOLLARS.

TO BENTLEY, THIS IS ROUGHLY LIKE THE MOVIE PLOT OF THE WAR OF THE ROSES. WITH A HAPPIER ENDING.

"We're really looking for the most heartwarming, that person who truly deserves it." Return to index of stories...
