530AM~STORMWARN FORECAST-WXWALL

Some rainier days are ahead for Southwest Florida as a cold front edges our way tonight and sticks around for a couple more days.

The good news for those with outdoor plans today is the daytime hours will be mainly rain free, and it won't really be until after sunset when we start seeing some scattered showers move in from the northwest.

We'll get our Wednesday started with some areas of low visibility this morning, but partly sunny skies will take over once the fog lifts away, leading to another very warm day with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Winds will continue to be a factor in our forecast as the breeze picks up through the day, gusting as high as 20-25 mph out of the south. With the southerly wind still in place, humidity will be noticeably higher through the day as well.

Once the clouds and showers start moving in tonight, we've got them in our forecast through Friday. The front will actually stall and stay right over Southwest Florida, leading to cloudy skies and periods of rain both Thursday and Friday. With the clouds and scattered rain around those two days, daytime temps will struggle to climb out of the 70s during the afternoons.

Signs point to the showers and front making an exit by late Friday into early Saturday, and then some rather cold air will follow behind it. We'll start to notice the cool down by Saturday afternoon and evening, and then by Sunday morning we'll likely be tracking temperatures as low as the 30s and 40s! Sunday looks to be a very chilly day as well with highs only reaching the low to mid 60s despite full sunshine.

After morning lows cool back into the 30s and 40s Monday morning, we'll start to warm up pretty quickly back into the mid 70s by Monday afternoon and then back to 80° by Tuesday. Return to index of stories...

STORMWARN FORECAST-WX CTR TO WX WALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
